The only silver lining is that I live in Vegas and can sport my Hertl jersey to games. Otherwise I hate the Knights getting my favorite player of all time. His game against New York still is one of my favorite highlights, including the between the legs goal.

The term of his contract actually brings his value down. I cannot believe we retained. With that said...I am pissed we just traded our franchise favourite for Edstrom and next years 32nd pick.

I’m reading this thread and I still don’t know what to feel about this deal. I get the Sharks are in a rebuild but did it really have to be Vegas. How long are they going to be rebuilding and will there still be interest in this team when they are good again. I keep hearing it will be like 4 years before the team is decent again. Will there still be fans by then?

Seeing Hertl in a Kings, Ducks, or Vegas jersey is literally vomit worthy but this a good return at 1.36M AAV retention. His value was only going to decline the older he got and he was just going to get wasted during this rebuild. MG did what Will failed to do
