Tom Wilson, 20 goals and counting

I don't think he's that worried considering the beatdowns he has handed to 2 of your toughest players already.
That's where his low IQ comes in. If he targets our stars, it'll be open season on his teammates. Nothing you're talking about changes that. Where was he when Vrana was getting his face operated on by Gourde?

Gourde would never go with Wilson, under any circumstances.

I honestly don't know about that, Lol. Not that it would be a good idea.
If there is no language barrier between him, Coburn, or Cernak it would clearly be an IQ issue with him (Gourde)

If Vrana was involved, Wilson was on the bench. But that sequence sure worked out well for Tampa. Putting Kempny out for the season and all. Vrana actually took a step up in the locker room for his part, but maybe next Yanni gets to fight someone that knows what he is doing. Picking on Vrana. Made me laugh.

More like a Napoleon Complex. Not that I'd change anything about Gourde, mind you.

I mean Vrana lost clearly but the cut he got was from hitting the visor not from a punch he ate and that fight got his team fired up as the piece in the Athletic today points to.

Coburn is an aging vet who never fights, while Cernak is a rookie. How is that any different? A fight's a fight. If you don't want to go then don't go. Vrana got split, plain and simple.

And the Kempny thing was a freak accident. Don't get salty.

I doubt they're any more fired up than the Bolts are. It'll be a punishing series if it comes to that.

It's the ECF rematch the league needs and they're in my estimation the best teams by quite a bit. As I've said all year, whoever wins that will win the Cup.

TBH he's holding Ovi back in points. If Oshie plays top line Ovi would be at 95 pts+.

That's an interesting point, and one that doesn't seem to come up a lot. Caps fans go on and on about Wilson, but I've always felt Oshie was a way more important support guy. He and Wilson play the same position, and earn about the same money. And yet as big and scary a difference maker as Caps fans insist Wilson is, I'd way rather face the Caps without Oshie than without Wilson. Wish we could poll league GMs about that too. Be really interesting to get their thoughts on the matter.

Then his IQ is as about low as I thought. If he targets our stars it'll be open season on his teammates. Nothing you're talking about changes that.

How did that work out for you year ago?

Wilson didn't stop hitting at any point during last years Playoffs and it worked out well for them at the end.

He is no different than any other big physical forward ala Reaves, Anderson, etc.

The difference in terms of totals is he plays with two of Washington’s and the Metro’s best players.

People trying to portray him as some unique talent whos ACTUALLY a top-6 player are off base. Hes a good third line forward whos size is good in the playoffs - no need to try and blow this up into anything more than that

That's just being intellectually dishonest to think Reaves would even come close to Wilson's numbers. Hell, putting him with Anderson is insulting. Also funny because Anderson is typically the Jacket's 2nd RW which is a top 6 forward…

Ask any GM and they're taking Wilson every single time over Anderson.

Are you f***ing kidding. gourde fights Wilson his brain gets scrambled simple as that.

What now, Cernak got hustled so it’s next man up? You guys are gonna get a lot of your guys hurt.
