seems like alot of people want a team of 13 centers, you have to take a winger here and there. I have no problem with Bertuzzi, if he plays like he did a couple years back, he can be a very valuable addition.

Gretzky is no fool!
Gretzky knows that Bert will be a valuable addition to the success of Team Canada. His combination of power and finesse on the wing will be hard to stop when in combination with one of Thornton, Lecavalier, or Sakic at center. My guess is that he will play on the first line and the power play with Sakic. When all is said and done, watch for Bert to be the all tournament right winger.

I will also say this in Todd's defense. Rick Nash shouldn't be there either. He's only played in three games and he's getting the benefit of the doubt from Gretz and friends. So, if anyone talks about Bert being a Gretz charity case, then they better say the same thing about Nash.

Why is Bert there instead of Tanguay? Tanguay's faster, more consistent, better point producer, no controversy, less attitude....I don't get why you would pick the most overrated player in the league (bert) over Tanguay (look at the stats this year if you don't believe me)

Bertuzzi has had 1 good season. People like to say well he missed so long, he hasn't missed much more then anyone else out there. How many regular season games did he sit? (12 or so? i don't remember) So those 12 games are the reason he played so poorly in the 70 games prior to that in that season and hasn;t done much of note this season?
Bertuzzi is one of the most over-rated players in the league. without naslund setting him up he would not be having very much success at all.
This team needs LW's not RW's...Iginla, Stlouis, Doan, Bertuzzi, Nash....where are the LW's?? Gagne, Smyth, Heatley...that's about it...another reason Tanguay should have been there instead of Bertuzzi...it's all politics
