LFG! Now I'm actually excited to watch this team this coming season. Huberdeau wasn't resigning here anyways and weegar is a bonehead when it counts. I didn't want to try to resign both of them anyways for the money they would want. Rather lockup a younger skilled player like Tkachuk and add from there.

imo the Panthers paid Schwindth or that 1st round pick too much but in a year or two.. who cares.

What Tkachuk lacks in offensive impact (he still has a strong positive impact) he makes up for in defensive impact.

If they are rentals for Calgary, we moved two big pieces in our lineup but watching them both in the playoffs was extremely disappointing. If Zito feels like they weren’t putting in the effort then I totally like this trade and Matty is no slacker. I’m gonna sit on this for a little longer.

Both go to market in my opinion. Not a chance either one stays in Calgary. Especially Huby with Walsh as his agent, they’re gonna want to cash in.
