Don't ruin his melancholy

This ignores that we did not have the normal amount of draft picks and was tactless and oblivious to that fact. If my high bar is hitting on 2 2nd rounders when murray aquired 3 firsts and...what 4 2nd rounders from reiger...then yes getting lehner and a shot at hitting on a few seconds is exactly what's wrong.

What makes you say that? Because I have no idea if he's drafted well or not. I can tell you that our last few development camps in July and prospects games in September have not been all that impressive. None of his picks stood out in pre-season games either.

And there's a name to remember and that's Brock Boeser, he's destroying the NCAA right now. He was my choice for our pick at #21 overall but TM traded that pick to Ottawa for Lehner.

I wanted Knoecny at #21 but didn't think he'd fall that far anyways, so it wasn't going to matter.

Then the draft happened and I was cursing Tim for making that trade earlier in the day.

*Sigh

I have issues/concerns with Murray. The big three being....

1) His choice of head coach

2) Lehner's ability to be a #1. I really don't care about the price if he pans out. But he still looks clunky to me, even with the weight loss. Not sure he is the answer yet. But I'm wiling to give more time.

3) The mess the Amerks have been since he took over.

I could care less if he trades away picks and prospects to improve the team. That was the entire reason all those picks and prospects were acquired. I think your rants about the draft are silly. His 2014 was uninspiring but the last two drafts I liked.

You guys do understand that there is no guarantee thats who Murray drafts if we keep the pick.

Someone from the other side has to explain to me what they wanted here.

Did they want Tim Murray let go after 3 years when the plan was to finish last literally the first half of that time? And before any of his picks aside from the 2 2nd overalls even got here? For ONE SEASON EACH by the way.

Did they want him working with nothing tethering him to the job in the future? That's brilliant. Go look up what happened when Ralph did that John Butler. Utter idiocy.

Seriously what did people want here. To bury their head in the sand about what his objectives have been since he got here?

Year 1 come in around deadline in last place - sell what's left
Year 2 - finish last. Everyone was in on that.
Year 3 - improve and let players develop
Contract up- get off my team

Jesus guys

Just thinking about it this morning and i've decided that despite being fun to listen to in interviews, Tim Murray has been a terrible failure as a GM so far.

in brief summary:

ROR deal was legit. yay.

A monkey could have drafted Reinhart and Eichel.

The Myers trade was a complete disaster.

The #1 pick for Robin Lehner is STILL outrageous.

Look at our organizational depth, Rochester is a ****show and none of these guys on the farm are game changing.

He sucks at Defense. gave away McNabb for Des? LOL, fail. Gave away Myers for Bogo (essentially)? fail. drafts young Nylander when guys like Sergachev and Chycrun are already starting in the league making an impac... meanwhile way way into this suffering rebuild we are stick with ****bums on defense.

He hired (was maybe told to???) Dan Bylsma. :(:(:(

Seems like Okposo wanted to come to BUF, based on Moulson friendship and influence. besides ROR deal, what the hell has this guy actually done that has us on any reasonable track to a "cup window"? which someone mentioned in another thread and made me spit out my coffee laughing. a cup window! LOOOL

He loves to say he wants to get creative but other GMs wont work with him.

I'm just sick of pretending tim Murray is some amazing ground breaking GM. He's not. we aren't on any road to greatness. go Watch a Leafs game if you want to get depressed about BUF.
