Thread says "Confirmed with link" but is it official that Tim Murray is leaving?

Really expected BM to either retire or give up GM role and hold onto the Prez role in order to have Tim succeed him. Just thought that it might get expedited with interest growing in Timmy.

Not sure Dorion would make a great gm. Can't wait to see what ends up happening once the buf news is official.

Really?? Is he??

I wonder if they car pool to work together? Maybe they are best friends too? Maybe their kids and wives hang out together when their husbands are at work. Maybe they share lunches too. I guess that if it wasn't for Tim Murray, Pierre Dorion would be flipping burgers.

We talk about these people like we know who they are, what they eat, when they go to bed. In reality, there isn't one person here that can even begin to speculate about roles and responsibilities of anyone in any organization.

Pierre Dorion is Pierre Dorion. Not Tim's guy, not Bryan's guy. He will do whats best for HIS future, not whats best for Tim Murray's future.

My theory is that Bryan and Tim both know how crappy it is to work under Melnyk, so Bryan completely supported Tim taking off and getting a chance outside of the current environment.

Or they have done an average job at best and are not welcome back

I want a GM that has the ability to be here longer then 3 years.

Bryan is healthy and will be here as long as he wants the job.

11:30 presser today. :)

"Over-30 Mods Club" high-five.
Everyone else can get the hell off of our lawn, and get a haircut.

No kidding, all these kids with their flow. Fully in the mods' corner on this one...

They've done okay. The Senators have a good foundation and can parlay some of these picks/prospects into better players as they near contention. We are bascially a bubble team though. There are too many players on the team that are talent-deprived (Greening, Kassian, Neil, Gryba, deteriorating Michalek...) for this team to go deep.

Also, Melnyk is in love with Bryan Murray, so he'll never say no to paying him for w/e he wants to do.
