Jam and the Jackets are not usually connected. I wouldn't say I've noticed any from him. Then again I'm not sure jam is necessary-see Nicklas Lidstrom

Erixon, leads team in +/-, doesn't make many mistakes, sees the ice very well, makes good passes, and keeps getting better. Yes i really like this kid.

He's been pretty decent since his recall. He has to catch up to the speed a little (defensively) but he certainly seems to move the puck well and is intelligent. He's been very good and continues to get better. Honestly, I'm not sure he goes back to Springfield even if CBJ gets healthy on defense.

I really like what I see in him. Very good tape to tape passer and an overall good defender. Not a great shot but a guy who seems to gets better every game.

I agree with the consensus but the fact there is consensus should be concerning (although not to Erixon).

Yes, as I eluded to elsewhere today, Erixon coming in and playing as well as some of our regulars is a good sign for a player his age, not so good for some of our "top" defensemen--i.e. they should have been doing a better job when healthy.

His potential has the Nash trade looking better and better every game. Rick is an amazing player and NY won that part of the trade. But for this team Dubinskys grit and leadership, AA's two way play and Erixon's potential along with the first looks very nice.

I'm starting to think that in five years we will look back on the Nash trade and see that we robbed NY.

I really like Erixon's game. I look at Erixon, Murray, Moore, and the possibility of getting Seth Jones and I see the potential to have the best blue line in the NHL is a few short years.

I see a defense that makes mason a vezina candidate again :sarcasm:

Robbed NY? I doubt it. I think Howson got good value given the circumstance, but Rick Nash has been unreal good with the Rangers this year. Way better than he ever was with us.

And that's why I said it would be in five years (two for Mayor Bee) instead of 20 games. We got four players that might be major contributors, and could reshape this franchise.

Why do you think that would be? Talent surrounding him possibly? I watched his game where he had 12 shots and I particularly noticed his play with Brad Richards. Damn you Howson for not letting this happen here!

This guy has shocked everyone with the consistency of his play. I don't think any of us thought he'd be ready to make the jump this season, but he's playing like a 2nd pairing veteran....and its coming easily to him or so it appears. He's benefited from alot of injuries, but its nice to have someone step up for a change.

Consistency is key. We all know the season Nikitin put up last year. But can Erixon finish this year and continue next year?
