I'd be "lying" if I said I wasn't upset with wasting my time reading this entire thread. Or would that be lip service? :)

Shucks Viqsi, ya got me. Here I was vacillating between "jive" and "sweet talk" and the whole time if was "lie". Talk about parsing words.

Hey, you were the one who insisted that I explicitly spell it out for you. If you can't comprehend that someone saying one thing and doing another fundamentally constitutes a lie on the part of that somebody, then you've got worse problems. :)

I'm not going to indulge your waiver wire report because in all honesty if you'd shown me that prior to Connauton being claimed, and his name was on there, there's little likelihood is have said "Connauton, obviously". You're making an implicit claim that Connauton is the hidden answer and I'm not making that claim at all. I like his game and am glad for the signing but for all I know there's another name or two on that list that could have contributed, and could have contributed during the losing streak. It's beyond my ken to scout the waiver wire competently, but that doesn't mean I'm out of bounds to believe someone on the Jackets payroll ought to be able to and ought to have done something while we were pissing away games with an absolutely subpar roster

I would be perfectly happy to accept that conclusion at face value if it weren't for the fact that you apparently so thoroughly distrust their evaluation as to have predetermined that there must be some random somebody that one merely needs to reach out and take, and that not doing so cannot possibly be an indication of those folks in the know concluding "we know these guys won't help, they suck", or "this guy would help, but they're asking for Boone Jenner, that's insane" (or whatever), but instead must be indication that Kekalainen and friends are lazy and/or insufficiently competent and/or slow, any and all other possible and/or more probable explanations be damned.

In a scenario that's widely viewed as near-impossibly difficult for any GM, you're deliberately putting the worst possible spin on the situation, possibly because all that frustration from losing had to go somewhere and Kekalainen - reasonable or otherwise - is a handy available target.

This quote may calm some of the "do nothings."

General manager Jarmo Kekalainen said his phone was ringing almost hourly, with offers from his peers that were, in some cases, high comedy. (Picture his fellow GMs on the other end of the line, smiling like The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. “Now,” Kekalainen said, with his own sinister smile, “the phone’s not ringing quite as often.”)

Looks like we will get our first glimpse of Morin tonight. Rychel sent to Springfield this morning. It will take a few games to form judgment but hopefully this is a positive move for the cbj.

Jim Morin turns out to be cousin of J.D. Forrest who played under Grandmaster Kekäläinen's command in Jokerit! 2010-11!

Morin is playing pretty much the way I thought he would. He's an NHL player, nothing special at the moment. A Top 9 player.

So with nice chunk of games how are you guys liking Morin?

Erixon is nothing special and is #7 defender here. Honestly I would like to see him waived and kid or vet via trade in that role

He's a fine middle-sixer. Pretty good possession player. Obviously has a good shot but hasn't used it that often.
