So, I already paid for the first round of the playoffs. If they don't make it, what happens to my deposit? Do I get a refund?
If you checked the refund box on your invoice you will get a refund, if not your money will be applied towards next years season tickets or a future subscription.

**** I did it online not sure if there was even an option. Both scenarios sound good to me though, thanks.

Yeah I think that option is only on the print out paper they send to your house. If anything call your rep and they will fix it for you.

They ask the 4 questions online as well right before you pay. One of them asks if you want a direct refund.

If you check your email they should have sent you a receipt where you can see your answers.

Sorry if this is posted elsewhere in the thread, but--

What is the deadline for season ticket holders to renew? And is there a window to upgrade? As a non-STH, I'm trying to figure out when I should start realistically bothering my rep in order to grab some for next year.

Our deadline is May 3rd. Put your deposit down if you haven't done so now. Next year will be my 3rd year doing it. I remember I put down my deposit in April of 2011 and didn't actually get assigned seats till September of 2011.

I talked to my rep (Nicole) today, saying I definitely don't want my current seats but I do want seats elsewhere.
She said I don't need to put down a deposit or sign up or anything, and she will be in touch during the summer...
Sounds strange to me, anybody else trying to downgrade? What are the reps telling you?

Thanks!

Last year I told them I wanted to downgrade and refused to buy the expensive seats they assigned me. My rep said if I renewed at the expensive price, he would take care of me. Sure enough, he downgraded me to exactly what I wanted 3 months later.

Downgrades are 100% possible. Don't let a rep tell you otherwise.

Who was you rep?

Thanks for the insight!
Since my rep has not promised anything, I'll wait it out until the end of summer and see what they have then... if there's nothing I like guess will take a break from season tickets.

I will not be intimidated by this from the rep: "I will say that after last year’s downgrade process we had long tenured season ticket holders not get any seats."
I was able to get my seats easily enough last year as a new subscriber! (rep was Jeff back then)

Dan is a great guy. He signed me up last season but got a promotion before the season started.

Will also add in my name as a person who downgraded last year, didn't send in one payment until I got my new seats. Just be on good terms with your rep.

I have Nicole as well - I also told her I don't want my current seats. She said she'll reach out in the summer.

We'll see. I've come to terms with giving up my current seats as I do not think they are worth it at all, and if that means I'm not going to be a season ticket holder, so be it.

What section did you have?

207 row 1. I just can't justify that those seats are $53 more than row 2. And I don't even like the tvs - feel that they actually block the view and are for the enjoyment of everyone above me (who isn't paying for it). Also, while row 1 is obviously a great view, you feel somewhat detached from the crowd which I don't like.

Anyhow - when I told her, she said that they have seen significant demand for those seats at a premium (I find that hard to believe, but okay).

It soumds like a lot of unhappy customers. It seems more and more want to downgrade than upgrade every year. I hope there is enough room to accomodate everyone since I can,t remember the last time I heard someone upgraded to better more expensive seats .

Replace 207 with 210 and I am you. Got the same "demand" line from my Rep as well. No way I am renewing at $165. Also annoyed at the TV and the Glass. If I can't downgrade, so be it. Outside of the SCFs, there are plenty of seats on SH.

Yep - think most people in row 1 feel this way. This was my first year as a season ticket holder, and honestly I didn't think it was all that special (didn't feel any particular bond with the folks near me as they were pretty much diff people every game) and my resale opportunity was horrible. I'm fine going to SH next year if I can't downgrade.
