So true. Pretty disgraceful how so many fairweather "fans" are falling over themselves jumping off the bandwagon now. It's been a frustrating performance but keep it together, people!

Bandwagoners will be bandwagoners. Just frustrating when we've been in all 3 games but just can't seem to cash runs when we have chances. Its technically not over, but the Tribe seem to be rolling right now, and I think their bullpen has us psyched out.

Jays swung at a couple of Miller's pitches last night that weren't close. It's almost like their closed their eyes and hoped for the best. One against Upton jogs my memory.

Not whining or being a 'band-wagoner'. I give full respect to Cleveland. I was expecting the Jays to come back after being down 2-0. But not 3-0 and no bats..... and the bats disappearing has happened to often this year.
I'll still be cheering of course till the bitter end, and if they win today, maybe I'm back on the band-wagon.....I kid! :)

Well that's it, where is the fork? Because it is done. I fully expect because the way things are going for them to lose 1-0 today.

I do not care how much Martin makes he needs to sit and Navarro needs to be put in. He can not do any worse and he is a switch hitter.

No way Goins should be in the line up, and I do not know why he was.

IMO even though I do not mind Gibbons he needs to go if the above does not happen and they lose.

He is afraid to "manage".

Whats he going to manage? This team cant even score runs against a bullpen for an entire game. The lack of "hitters" on this team has become pretty evident. They have been completely manhandled by Clevelands pitching staff (without 3 of their top 4 starters). They dont make adjustments and continually get beat by pitching they should be able to score against. Miller has become such a factor because the team cant produce runs early in the game (or late in the game for that matter).

Or...Sanchez dominates and Kluber is hittable on short rest; Estrada gets another start, this time against the Indians rookie #4 guy, and takes the series back to Cleveland. Jays get another crack at Tomlin in Game 6 and force a Game 7 where anything can happen.

Sure, a lot of things will have to go right for them to pull this off. But this team is capable of such a run, and I'd rather go down believing than whinging.

Hear hear! :handclap:

There's believing and then there is being oblivious. This team has no chance in hell of coming back in this series, they are toast. This has been nothing short of a pathetic display of hitting. If they were down 3-0 and faced Kluber, Carrasco and Salazar, than fine, but they have faced a team without 3 of their 4 best starting pitchers and played a whole game with a bullpen. Pathetic

Call third strike on a 3-2 count.
Absolute trash.

No, being oblivious would be thinking that there's a great chance the Jays still win the series, or that they can keep playing the way they have been and expect to win.

Recognizing that this is an extremely talented team with the ability to turn things around and that, despite overwhelming odds against them and having struggled immensely the last three games, there's still a tiny glimmer of a chance that they could somehow manage to win four straight games, the same way they won six straight against Boston, Baltimore and Texas when their backs were against the wall just a week ago, is the epitome of "believing".

Stick a fork in them. They're done!

The umpires are obviously against them as the League would rather have 2 American based teams in the "World Series".

It would take a miracle of huge proportions for them to win 4 straight games.

JMHO.

My apologies, I meant delusional. This team is toast, they managed to get lucky playing like this in September, but its come back to bite them now.

Remember when they were toast at the end of September?

You're probably right this time, of course. But it's not over until they lose a fourth game.

As bad as Martin has been at the plate, his biggest asset is his pitch framing and defence. I know it's frustrating to watch him at the plate and he has to come through in game 4 but it may be time to put Navarro in the game if Martin goes 0 for 3 again and has 1 more at-bat in game 4.

I never thought they wouldn't make the playoffs, but they have been playing with fire for too long, and unfortunately now it has caught up to them.

I mean... you did, though, and you made that clear multiple times as recently as late September.

I think we have witnessed the end of this season, this team has packed it in

Even if they manage to get into a wild card game, they aren't going anywhere

I would love to stay positive but I think they get edged out. Although they have put up runs in spurts, this offence just doesnt seem to be consistent enough. That being said, if Donaldson snaps out of it and Bautista wakes up, than you never know. But having the 7th worst team BA in baseball will catch up to you sooner or later.

Well if anyone is looking for a silver lining....today and tomorrow's (if it happens...) games are pretty cheap on Stubhub!

A couple days ago 500s were at best, $100USD, now there's a bunch at ~30.

With how bad everyone had been (except Donaldson really) I'm not sure how you single him out?

He has a replacement sitting on the bench. Navarro not only has hit well in the past he is also not a liability behind the plate and he is a switch hitter... and.. he can not do worse than Martin is currently. Maybe it would light a fire under martin as well.

P.S keep Goins as far away from this line up as possible as the last thing it needs is another player who can't hit on the best of days.

His overall performance, not just batting. I could live with the garbage bat if he could at least play his catcher role well.

Wow all those people that said the Jays would suck are right. Except for the fact that they did make the playoffs, did beat Baltimore in the wildcard, and did sweep Texas in the ALDS. I guess it's never good to finish top 4 two years in a row, because you know, no WS. Meanwhile two of the other three still playing will keep on having a longer WS championship drought than the Jays.

It's almost like it's difficult to win a WS
