It's still called Thunderbolts. Just some billboard advertising (in the US).How f***ing stupid
Also, Avengers social media accounts now include a copyright symbol.

Ha, I came to post that same story myself.![]()
Bob Iger Says ‘Thunderbolts*’ Is ‘First and Best’ Example of Marvel’s New Movie Strategy: ‘We Lost a Little Focus by Making Too Much’
Bob Iger views "Thunderbolts" as the "first and best example" of the studio's new priority to focus on quality over quantity.variety.com
That's because the standard has been lowered in the last few years. This movie would be considered unremarkable before Endgame.Must have missed something, thought it was pretty bad and dumb.
Nah, the themes it's handling would have stood out before Endgame already. But of course the characters had not been introduced before Endgame so...That's because the standard has been lowered in the last few years. This movie would be considered unremarkable before Endgame.
I didn't think it was bad or dumb but I also didn't think it was anything special. I was surprised the reviews were so positive. Nothing really stood out to me. It was an enjoyable 2 hours of entertainment, but I'll say that about any MCU movie that isn't L&T.Must have missed something, thought it was pretty bad and dumb.

Took me way too long to figure out what L&T stood for.I was expecting funnier, I guess. The Red Guardian was the central comic figure and I hated him in Black Widow for overdoing it and breaking tone (he's less of a sore thumb in this one). Not being funny, I just thought it was uninteresting - but I will admit I didn't get the depth that is talked about here.
As for L&T, well, I kind of liked it (well, relatively speaking, it's still something like a 4/10). Certainly not a good film, but I thought it was a lot more entertaining than this one. On the other hand, if the MCU fans can be happy with a new movie, I'll take it, a refreshing break from the usual whining.
I need to find my old MCU ranking and add the new ones. I'd like to say I won't rewatch Thunderbolts for a long long while, but I'm a sucka for crapfest once I'm lying down.Took me way too long to figure out what L&T stood for.
I don't totally get the hatred for that one. It's pretty squarely in the "it's fine" bucket for me. (I rank it #28 of 48 MCU movies/shows).
I think Thunderbolts is absolutely benefiting from the multi-year MCU drought. Bar has been lowered. The curve has been ... whatever happens with curves and grades and whatnot. I'm not about to nominate for Best Picture, but I'd watch it again, which is more than I can say for much of what's transpired the last few years.

I'd be very curious to see the whole thing!I rank Thunderbolts #15 out of 48.
My rankings are tiered out into three groups. I have an eight movie top tier (very good to great), but more importantly this tier is the unassailable group to me. All hold up on multiple viewings and in some cases even improve.
My second tier is 20 deep. These are all fine to pretty good. Thunderbolts is in the upper third of that tier for me, but it's really a big jumble. Ask me six months from now and it may move up a few or down a few.
There's definitely some recency bias here. There are a couple of movies and shows in my bottom tier of 20 (forgettable to bad) that I used to like more but have severely diminished on repeat viewings.
You're going to get me yelled at!I'd be very curious to see the whole thing!
I'm looking to redo mine (couldn't find it in my old posts), I'm pretty sure the yelling would quickly come my wayYou're going to get me yelled at!
