Post-Game Talk: Three Stars #45: Devils @ Rangers, aka, "Season's Over"

I thought Girardi played a real good game. Seems to have simplified his game today. When Staal gets back this defense will be one of the tops in the league. I think Torts (:facepalm:) has a lot more trust in Moore. It looks like he's going to keep him in over Eminger, at least I hope so.

If they lose in regulation, yes. They still hold the tiebreaker on us.

If ottowa loses tomorrow, we will move ahead of them as we hold the tiebreaker on them.
 
Holy. We can score goals!

When we get Dorsett & Staal back and if this goal scoring ability continues, I could see us going fairly far.

I hate when people say this, that Lundqvist is just big and doesn't make athletic saves. If anything he's one of the most athletic goalies in the league, just because he doesn't flop like Marty or Hasek doesn't mean he's not athletic. The guy has amazing positioning and mechanics and on top of it he makes athletic saves. That's what sets him apart from other "big butterfly" goalies.

We just need avoid Pittsburgh in the first round, and then I'll be confident that we can make some noise hopefully.

With Henrik in net, I'll always feel confident.

well CT might not have another game so he wont be sent down if there are no games to be played. that line really misses a center. powe is a winger. cant wait for boyle to come back. I hope he'd be used correctly as the 4th line C and getting PK time.
 
Well that was satisfying. Really dislike the Devils and very satisfying to knock them into next year. See you later Lou. That team is just too old and with both goalies in their 40's--WTF!

If I got my way, the Rangers finish 7th, either Winnipeg/Washington finish 8th, and Ottawa misses.

Don't think the Rangers are going to catch the Islanders, actually wouldn't be surprised even if the Islanders catch Toronto for 5th.
