i want to get battlefield 3 but theres like 5 DLCs with maps and i dont feel like spending that much money on a year and a half old game. im considering switching to PC gaming, console gaming is just becoming a ripoff

You can buy the premium edition which comes with all the DLCs
The community is still extremely active, and will be for years.

Plus, the DLCs are on PC too
