I hear ya. I've heard some truly astounding things that I can't get into as they cross the religious/political line of HF that's a no go.

I think up in Canada, it's a bit better as far as religion and politics is concerned.

The ignorance that I have to deal with is mostly from 13-22 year old ****ers who have one ignorant attitude or another.

Its not so much that I need the people I interact with to have intellectual depth. They do have to be interesting though.

My first serious relationship was somewhat like that. A lot more extroverted than me. Fun to talk to. Wasn't stupid, but I certainly had to constrict my vocabulary when we talked.

Well, next to nobody agrees with me when it comes to politics.

In general, I just find myself disgusted with the lack of depth I perceive in many people I meet.

People... the word people... carries certain connotations nowadays.

People = ignorant, under-educated, unintelligent, skewed views on politics, religion, freedom etc. and perhaps the most detrimental of all on an individual level, the inability to introspect.

I have so few friends because everyone piss the living **** out of me. People that fail to introspect and understand themselves, their motivations and negative tendencies (especially those that are heading nowhere) simply boggle my mind with anger and confusion.

For the most part, expecting nothing out of everyone is the default mode I go on and sadly, that makes it difficult to be acquainted with some potentially lovely people which is why I'm glad I have you SFW. I don't have Bob. I wish.
