Hey hockey fam...I hope this is an ok place to post this:

My rink is hosting a refugee family. Their son plays in our U10 group. It sounds like the family is just wonderful people and their work visas have been unbelievably delayed; they could use a little help to make it through.

I just came up with a new fly pattern I'm really excited about.... whenever you can build a new fly pattern based on tried and true patterns it's usually a good one... it's also a very cool tip of the cap to tyers and innovators that have come before you...

So there is an old time pattern called a Sea-ducer...that was adapted to be called a DT special...old time pattern that looks like this.

There is also another famous old time pattern that barrows from the Sea-ducer theme that's called the Schminnow that looks like this

So I combined the two to come up with this

From Jersey w/ Love
finally up out of bed and made my way down to the studio with the help of two canes... walking around a bit feels good

made me one of these and im glad i did, The Perfect Mexican Michelada Recipe | Ever In Transit

i use walters instead of tajin Amazon.ca

naw, not needed .....yet

....besides, they'll just prescribe some shit that i wont feel good about taking

Id still book an appointment for an orthopedic or pain management specialist. This way you can get some X-rays and/or MRIs in the meantime.

Because even if you're feeling good in a couple days - this is likely to come back at you again. So you might as well know the enemy you're dealing with.

don't push it off. you don't have to rush rush, but might as well get something on the calendar even if its awhile from now.

Locally they are either raw or fried or chargrilled on the half shell with garlic butter
I just threw them on the grill with some garlic butter afterwards. Whenever he harvests them he sells them raw to a local "collective". He's locked in at a price of around 60 to 70 cents a piece as opposed to selling them on the open market which could be much higher but a gamble. There's only a handful of oyster farmers here and it's crazy how many of them they move to local restaurants, just an insane business if you're wiling to put in the work.

Beautiful walk in the woods this morning near the Delaware Raritan canal. Saw a doe and three fawns. Always cool to see when they have more than two.

And finished up my snook box last night. 26 flies ready to go.
