Josh Yohe is legitimately one of the worst beat writers in the game.

I'm not going to scour the net to find the array of writers to satisfy your prerequisites, but I can assure you many folks were yumping for joy this year too. But then again that hockey executive always has some folks yumping for joy.

Crosby is not getting traded. He will retire a Penguin

That's kind of sad, I think there's got to be even some Pens fans who would enjoy seeing him with Mackinnon and would take the 1sts for him.

Not that it also wouldn't hurt, but you'd get to see Sid playing for cups again.

I'd have to ask some Bruins fans whether they'd have preferred if Ray Bourque retired as a Bruin.

The east has gotten more competitive so hard to seem them making playoffs. Life after Crosby and Malkin is gonna be brutal for this franchise.

I think you are exaggerating the response because I assume you are a Kyle Dubas hater / Toronto fan based on the username.

Penguins fans were largely incredibly whatever about his summer with the majority opinion being happy they were “rebuilding” finally.

The Penguins are looking at a Red Wings length rebuild if they don't trade Sid, plus it'd be fun to see him on another team going for a Cup like Brady on the Bucs. Just do it.

Sid is pure greatness but I don't think adding him would be the secret ingredient to making the Avs into a Cup favorite. They have three elite players that carry the team but they can't outscore their liabilities in the playoffs. The Penguins and Sid learned that same lesson the hard way during the post-Cup Bylsma era.

Welcome to Fenway sports group! If you’d like to peer into the future of the pens, check out what this ownership group has done to the Red Sox over the last 7yrs. The pens will have GM candidates turning down interviews.

I'm not a Pens fan but I think I'd feel the same way if I was. I'd rather see Sid/Geno/Letang all ride off into the sunset together as Pens than move Geno or Letang to try and be more competitive and see them ever play for another team.

Without Sullivan, they would have.
This franchises commitment to Mike Sullivan is baffling. I am sure it is all financial. They don't want to pay two coaches.

The answer is just hire an up and coming AHL coach for cheap on a multi year contract and fire Sullivan. That way you're only out about $1m per year. You'll make it up in ticket sales

I’ve said it for years that Sullivan is one of the worst coaches in the NHL. How he deploys and his systems are terrible

Did has dragged that team along
