and they're not wrong. Nothing we can do about the Patches or Svech injuries, but giving up a first and a prospect to bring in Elias Lindholm would have been a huge f***ing help and addressed a major weakness in our lineup.

But no, instead we play broker for the Oilers by taking Poolparty off their hands at full value, and we don't even get retention on an expiring UFA in Ghost while the Yotes broker 25% for the Rangers to bring in Kane to f*** us.
Lindholm wasnt available. no one that was available looked like they could have helped the team at the deadline.

ESPN is now saying we are a broken team with a broken roster who beats up on the weak even when healthy but cannot compete with the Top 8. Saying we absolutely failed at the deadline and that we are essentially f***ed in the playoffs.

Brilliant. f***ing brilliant. They're writing our obituary
Considering how much you were shitting on ESPN last year why the F*** do you care what they say?

Maybe sit out a few games man you’re going to give yourself an aneurism before the playoffs even start.

My interest started waning after Pacioretty blew out his Achilles then when other teams loaded up while we did our usual moneypuck by adding a garbage reclamation project and bottom pairing powerplay specialist, then went even lower when Svech went down.
The "usual moneypuck" was getting Meier. Come on.

Ghost and Pool are depth at best, but how did the team go lower when Svech went down?

Nah man just because you don't like the truth when it's dick slapping you in the face doesn't mean you get to tell everyone to stop posting for a while so you can pretend it isn't happening

Is there any indication the Flames would have moved him? Kinda hard to get a guy that’s not available.

The answer to the team not being able to score in the playoffs tore his Achilles twice. We didn't replace him at the trade deadline. We like our group...

Then one of our top 3 forwards goes out for the year. It's hard to not feel defeated as a fan... I wonder how the guys in the locker room feel.

Hard not to think they see their impending doom in the playoffs. They certainly have been playing like it since Svech went down.

hyperbole is their thing. they have to have something to talk about.
They’re saying the same thing that every other national commentator and writer says about this team.

The system is too tight and the power play sucks. Anyway…

Dominic Moore’s combover situation is something else. Like it’s so borderline sleazy but he pulls it off. I’m so proud of him.

That was the moment that the front office punted on this season. Even if Svech was healthy we were still going to struggle to get any offense this time of year. We needed to add to what we had and we had $10m in cap space....

And we added a depth defenseman and a reclamation project who spends more time as a scratch than on the ice

Decent bit of talk around the deadline around him and Tofolli. With where the Flames were and are, they would have moved at least one of the two if we had put a decent offer on the table and not f***ed our cap up by not being able to afford either without retention.

Hell even giving up a first and fourth for Bertuzzi like Boston did, and bringing in Nino as a retread would have been an improvement over what we did at the deadline.

I feel for them but the PR spin at the trade deadline was that the players "liked the group, too" and didn't want big changes to the line up. It's perplexing to me while watching your opponents supplement their line ups with helpers ( big names and journeymen).

I never said I disagree with them It’s just hilarious to see you go from losing your mind over the order of the intermission interviews last year to singing their praises because they all of a sudden happen agree with you.

If the team wins a few games in the playoffs you’ll go right back to bitching about their coverage again.

based on hindsight, sure. Nothing at the deadline said he would have been a positive addition. When he was a cold as ice like puljujarvi everyone would be screaming about how we went cheap again.
Vrana is a proven goal scorer in this league I don’t care about what happened earlier this year all I know is he’s 10 times the player martinook is and would be playing in the top 6. There’s too many third fourth liners being forced to play top 6 minutes now and it just doesn’t work

yeah Chellios, Subban and Boucher stupid guys don’t know nothin bout stick puck
Based on some of his comments, it appears Subban knows us. Chellios had to look down at his paper to mention Necas( like he wasn’t sure of his name) and Boucher kept saying this is our predictable brand of play.

Up until this recent stretch of play we haven’t been that predictable. Can these analysts do any research or watch film before they start leveling generalities.
