Thanks for your answer, dead. I understand the general point and expressed my appreciation that Briere took just the right position to this question. But my subsequent post was that he commented on a player over whom a shadow is looming, and whether his response gave any indication to Hart's unique situation.

It isn't a surprise to most of us that the dude who management likes and agrees with, and that has been trained by this management group, is just like everyone else. This is not a franchise that can tolerate any serious dissent.

Loser teams compare themselves at the BEGINNING of their rebuild to one of the least talented flukiest teams in recent history to win the Cup. And even then the Flyers seemingly have no pathway to Pietrangelo/Tarasenko types. But they’re telling you they don’t even care about talent, not first and foremost.

They also think Berube/Tortorella are elite coaches you build around. Doomed.

Excuse you, the defenceman they draft this year at 7th overall is a surefire bet to be the next Pietrangelo when you take into account this team's legendary development results over the years.
