If you're that in love with him, you could've literally given him your best offer and told him it's there on 7/1. And still pick up a 3rd+. I have no doubt some scout/GM fell in love with him after his game against Ottawa.

Any word on if Derian Hatcher and Mike Rathje are available to bring back for the playoff push?
Justin Braun is still available and looks to have finally found his untapped offensive potential this year... in the DEL.

Frank sounding confident that Walker will be dealt. It was fun to hear him say they probably won’t make the playoffs next year.

I think what we are seeing now definitively, is that it’s a buyer’s market. Lot of people here have had unrealistic expectations. If Walker is traded, it’ll more than likely be a 3rd than a 1st at this point.
Sounds like Tarasenko used his control the process

Honestly I don't want them to trade Walker because the stepford fan base will just say see they are rebuilding. At least there is a potential for them to grasp what it is happening if at the end of the year, the net result of the first year of our rebuild is going from 2 high end prospects to 1.

If re-signing Seeler also includes moving Walker, Laughton, and Risto (over the summer), it's whatever.

I like Seeler. If the Flyers were inside of a competitive window, I would like the idea of re-signing him. But it feels like the culture is already established now and subtracting Seeler would not make it collapse.

Said another way, if the culture collapses *because* Seeler is moved, was it really a strong culture to begin with?

That's what so hilarious to me. I caught a little bit of the PHLY pod yesterday and the other guy was listing off potential trade pieces:

Seeler?
O'Connor: No, they love him and think he is vital to their culture.

Laughton?
O'Connor: No, they love him and think he is vital to their culture.

Hathaway?
O'Connor: No, they love him and think he is vital to their culture.

The guy who washes the jockstraps after games?
O'Connor: No, they love him and think he is vital to their culture.
