Based on how this front office has worked so far, the "rumours" of Flyers trying to re-sign Seeler sound more like DB pumping the tires on him to get someone to make a better offer.
I don’t think so. Tortorella said he thinks Sanheim is better on the right. With the President of the club obsessed with building a big strong blue line, they won’t be pairing York, Zamula and Andrae with Drysdale.

Actually, I could see that after they move Atkinson out, if G is still playing well, he probably would welcome a return after the zoo in Ottawa, and could help mentor the kids. Couts and G would then be the only forwards over 30 once they exile Hathaway, Laughton and Deslauriers.
Im half joking but if they want to actually upgrade the team before the playoff...hes kind of an ideal fit...esp bc of their pp. We know hes picky about his destinations so if ottawa decided to move him and get something, we might be the only team hed come to.
Not really a rebuild move but lets face it...theyre gonna make some kind of a buyer move...at least G wpuld be fun.

As of today the Flyers are the 10th best team and Ottawa are ranked 28th. At the deadline if the Flyers are sure of a playoff spot and the Senators are not going to get in, it might make sense to bring back G. The Flyers are weak at LW, poor at faceoffs, and have a woeful PP that is lacking...
Honestly if they are going to do something stupid, which we all know they are, this is the kind of stupid move we can at least enjoy. Count me in.

I’m not even going to be mad when they extend Seeler because I know it’s going to happen. He’s been fine in the role he is in but he’s a dime a dozen player. A typical Flyers player they re-sign

All over it. Couturier-Zegras-Frost is a sexy three punch.
It would probably be a price not worth paying for the Flyers, which means they will probably be in on it and pay more than asking.

Even in the division we have Panarin, Fox, Hughes, Crosby, etc etc.
But wait. We’ve proudly re signed core piece, and locker room hero Seeler.
I imagine we're looking at somebody like Tyson F. or Tippett as the main piece going back due to the fact that they want scoring wingers or 2 way wingers.
I'd probably do it, but it'll hurt. We'd still need to add a small bit, I'd think, but not sure what extra.
I could see it though as we're wing rich, but we're not wing rich with size. But we're absolutely barren at C.
He'd solve a lot of boxes for us: high end talent, right age group, fit with teammates, short and long term C fix.
He comes with risk: fit with Torts and culture, injuries.
I'd be hesitant but will probably pull the trigger.

I would agree that Zegras is not worth discussing here. There's no chance the Flyers would be interested.
