They're not trading up into the top 5, can't remember the last time that happened. Decades.
You might be able to trade someone like Hart or TK for #6 to #10 and maybe other assets (DeBrincat deal).
Even then, that's hard to do.

The Hart talk has cooled b/c Briere ain't dumping guys to tank, he's trading guys to get maximum value.
So if he doesn't like what he's offered, he's willing to wait.

TDA is addition by subtraction at this point, they'll have to retain/take a bad contract and may only get a nominal return (6th rd pick?).
Hayes is just waiting for the right deal, unless Babcock doesn't like him, I think CBJ will circle back to maximize their return on JG.

It sounds good. Me personally I have Savoie potential as our top line winger. My opinion on Kulich is lower, but they seem to have around the same value it seems so swap Savoie for Kulich I say yes easily. Can't discount a player that filed for exemption status linking up with Granato.

I don't think Jost does much here though.

I like the idea of Jost as a low risk high reward get. We will need guys to fill out the lineup. Sign him to a 2-3 year deal with a low number (maybe even 1 depending RFA status). Worst case scenario he sucks along with the rest of the team. Best case scenario he either improves and can be traded or improves and can be kept as a valuable piece moving forward.

TDA actually DOES have some value. He had 40 points on a crap team. He's not great in the defensive zone and has the personal baggage. BUT, I could see getting a 2nd back....right?!

Not great in the defensive zone is an awfully nice way of saying he's the worst defensemen in the league in the defensive zone. He made Ghost look like Prime Lidstrom last season.

Lol don't get that the wrong way. I've always been on the Ghost is actually good defensively Team. Last season he was great for Arizona and Carolina..but there's a grand canyon between great and prime Lidstrom. That just illustrates how bad DeAngelo was. His level of suck filled up that grand canyon.

Totally agree. The smugness level in his writing, his tweets and BSH radio are off the charts. He acts like he's god's gift to the Flyers fandom because he's so level-headed and smart. His groupies are somehow even worse.

Forget Fast X. It’s nothing like what the series started off as. The first movie is much more serious and debatably one of the top 5 films of all time.

The Flyers are likely gonna have to retain on DeAngelo to just some level of interest. It’s an expiring contract so no big deal if so. I’d imagine that’s why they got LA involved with the Provorov deal to save a retention spot. Use one on Hayes & DeAngelo & save the other one for the deadline.
