Watching Briere and flyers this weekend has been a night at in the "Champagne room". The girls looks pretty, you have lots of hope and by the end you realize it was a complete waste of time and money.

Everyone is traveling to the Draft today so I don't expect much to happen until later tonight or most likely the fireworks start tomorrow
 
Things will happen the next few days, it's obvious that Danny Boy is ready to deal, as the draft approaches, teams know their currency is only good until then, afterwards they have to use 2024 and 2025 draft picks and pay more.

We don't know exactly what they discussed, but if Laughton, Sanheim and maybe others were brought up, Briere is ready to reshape this team this summer - going well beyond what Hextall did in 2014.

Aside from speculation, is there a credible source that the Flyers “leaked” trade info? Even if they did, isn’t it PR best practice to “control the narrative” on a story? Effectively, “hey teams want our players -come make a better bid.” Instead of, “I checked my notebook, no one is returning my calls and so no one wants our players - I tried.” When/if the trade(s) happen, we will have solid data to evaluate.

I doubt that. Islanders had a first pair of AMac and Streit.

York is going to be better than Provorov or Sanheim (he has "it"), the others, remains to be seen. Risto is Risto. Seeler is reliable on the 3rd pair.
But Walker can't be worse than TDA, Zamula's time has come, we'll see about Attard, Grans, Andrae, Ginning.
While it won't be a great defense, I don't think it's going to be terrible.

Mark Streit was really, really good when he was on the Island. Not just very good. Maybe great.

Can we not learn from the last generation and avoid projecting York beyond Provorov and Sanheim yet? Please? Hell, can we not project him to be better than Gostisbehere yet?

It kind of bothers me that this is going to be taken as a shot at York. It’s decidedly not meant that way.

For me, he’s defined by not having “it.” Ever. Not even as a prospect. He looks like he could be an excellent complimentary player. That’s a very good outcome!
