What else should he be using cap room for in the short-run?
It's not the NFL where you can roll it over to the next season.
Use it or lose it.
LTIR-6,350,000
Retained salary-3,571,428
Buyouts-4,025,000
Buried Penalty-3,850,000
Johansson-4,000,000
Total-21,796,428
For a bottom dweller of a team? That’s nuts. Sure they nabbed a couple of DCs at the end of the first round but that’s an absurd price to pay for them.

Briere is in no rush to dump Risto.
Given the alternatives at RHD are Johnson, Belpedio, Grans and Sampson.
He can move him at the TDL, or next summer.
No reason to take a lowball offer.
Thanks for fleshing out my point, dead. I'd say that Briere is in the opposite of rushing to deal Ristolainen. There is no intersection of improved to the point of garnering an interesting offer and not an important piece for the Flyers to keep trying to prove that they were right in trading for him for there to be a deal.

Keep in mind Briere has yet to trade someone that he hasn’t felt committed to having to move.
That’s cause they are still in their “player evaluation phase”

Wild that they still don't know what we have here. Our players had zero value when Briere took over. They gained value when they over performed last year. Now they have zero value again.

They're not trading Power. And Byram is basically Drysdale, a high pick who's a disappointment.

A name to think about is Cozens, they might want to move McLeod up to 2C, so a package might land him, Frost, Laughton and a 2nd?
McLeod is not a 2C, he just doesn't have enough offensive prowess, he was tried with Drai for stretches last year. He is a suitable 3C that shouldn't even touch your 2nd PP unit.

So he would be a 1C in Torts eyes and definitely play pp2

Why would you deal Brink

As with anything, that depends on what's on offer. If (and I'm not saying this is on the table) Minnesota likes Brink enough that they'd offer us Rossi for Brink and the least of our #1s this year, I'm handing him a Purple Rain CD and shoving him onto a plane immediately. Flip side, if they like Brink, but only enough to offer us a 3rd, well, they can like him all they want from afar.

Why does someone go in a pool over the ocean when in the islands.

I was kitesurfing in a remote village in Panama recently - on the Pacific side. The waters were infested with stingrays. One buddy was stung and vomited from the pain. Was out of commission for a day and a half.

If I wasn't on a board, I'd be in a pool.

That's why I used league rankings b/c scoring did go up the last few years.

Voracek's contract was higher in terms of % of cap than TK's new deal which starts at the same age. And much higher than Tippett.
Over the 6 years he played under his new contract, Voracek's average rank was 61st.

Given what Tippett is paid, if he's consistently in the top 100 among ES scoring, he's earned his money.
Um, you do understand that pp points and assists count, right?
Jake was a 1RW for many years, Tippett is not. It’s really that simple.

Yeah Steve Irwin got darted in the chest, which is why it was fatal.

I was so paranoid the entire time, especially when I saw how much pain my friend was in. I'm not exaggerating when I say that particular spot was infested with them. When the tide was low, you could see hundreds and hundreds of stingray nests.

Yet the locals were in there everyday with their little kids.

Guess it's just us tourists!

Where did you go in Belize? Would you recommend?

Creepy. That shit is supposed to hurt like hell I wouldn't want to experience it. How did your buddy describe it?

Did San Pedro, and Caye Caulker. Beautiful reef, and water. Different for everyone but while we found some positives, we likely won't go back. Not a lot in the way of sandy beaches on either island. Food was okay, but kind of bland (geared to tourists, I figure). EXPENSIVE. We for sure like Caulker more, more of a relaxed vibe instead of the non stop golf carts zooming around as on Pedro (how you get around).

Costa Rica is our place down south. Love it there. You won't regret giving that country a try.

Uh, I never said they were equivalent, I said if Voracek was worth 10.7% of the Cap, Tippett is worth 6%.

Did you do any fishing when you were in Belize? There's some excellent fly (and spin) fishing down there. Bonefish, permit, and tarpon are the prizes, but plenty of other fish as well.
