Having structure both helps evaluate your current player and reveals the weaknesses that have to be addressed. This team is getting faster and playing a fast paced style of play. Don't want to mess with that, that's your team identity going forward.
Clubhouse chemistry has value, especially in sports where it's a long season and a HC can't give "It's like letting someone break into your house, rape your wife and kill your children." speech every week [brownie points if you can identify the HC!].
But if you're rebuilding, it's chemistry 3-4 years down the road as well.
So at some point Sanheim, TK, York, etc. have to set the tone in the clubhouse, not Laughton, Seeler or Hathaway.
Eventually you have to move on from the older veterans.
Though it's much easier when someone offers you a 1st rd pick v a 5th rd pick.
