I'm not a huge Zuc supporter(as some of you already know) but its good to see him finally contributing. He's playing great, lets hope it can continue all season long.

The line with Zuc,Stepan and Kreider looks fantastic.Get Callahan back next week, hopefully Nash sooner then later, and look out league.

Right now, this is the headline on vg.no, Norways biggest newspaper.

We Norwegians are strange. Not a lot to write about.

Zuccarello had a great game in Rangers victory.
Three assists in tonights game. Read the whole story.

The other article to the right there is a guy starting Movember, and the story below Zuccarello is about a bride being attacked during her wedding and brought to the emergency room.

It says FART .....haha

Well, for once they actually can defend a headline like this for the few minutes it stays on top.

I still remember the infamous headline from his first season (or second?) after a good game from him:

"Zuccarello hit the post and got a penalty"

Zuccarello really earned his assist last night as well.

First goal: He wins the puck back after a lost faceoff and sends a good pass back to McDonagh at the point. That wasn't what earned him the assist though as he got it for mucking about for the rebound that ended up on Stepan's stick. But he still set the entire sequence up.

Second goal: Behind the back pass right to the blade of Stepan, pretty obvious.

Third goal: Draws his defender to him while holding on to the puck and creates the space for Stepan, then sending a good pass to the goal scorer.

Zuccarello and Hagelin are the current driving forces behind the Rangers offence at the moment. I'd say they have been behind almost all of the Rangers high-quality scoring chances the past few games.

Zuke's mother should stay in Manhattan the whole season..

We should sign her for the rest of the season.

In a around a week Zooks went from the HFNYR forum waiver wire to a tie for 3rd on the team in points!

I understand Zucc's mother is half Italian, it's not that hard to cook spaghetti ;)

To be fair, not all of us see zucc that way. My head began to hurt every time I saw the waiver thread. Not that there wasn't legitimate arguments on both sides.

It has gotten to the point where everything that could be said about him has already been said and posters just start bickering and talking about his height ad nauseam.

I have a feeling that some people made up their mind on him about his height early on, when he played decently they were quiet but then when he started to play poorly they had to tell everyone they were right.

This guy is still floating at that .50 PPG mark after almost 80 games (a full season) in the league.

His early season inconsistencies aside, he's been great since coming back from being benched. This guy is a 35-50 point player in this league. You don't just let a guy like him stay in the AHL, waiver him, or let him go FA.

I'm just curious at what point its safe to conclude that he belongs on this team. This isnt only about him but after every game so far fans are saying, "Ok great we won, but lets wait until we face xx until we see where the team really stands".

Kinda feels like there always is some next hurdle to overcome before someone can actually make a legitimate conclusion.

He has to prove he can produce points in the playoffs first. (joke)

I almost have a feeling that the guy could be in the race for the MVP title, and some people would still call him a boarderline NHL player.

That's just silly. Some members, including myself, are wondering if he can finish a full season. He hasn't played a complete full season yet,its a legit concern. He's playing great now, nobody is claiming otherwise, but can he stay healthy and play the full season? Will his body hold up over an 82 game schedule and playoffs?

I think those are legit questions even some Zuc fans wonder about

Where are they these days btw? If Torts would still be here, and Zuke had that 7 game slump, he could easily have been finnished as an NHLer. There is a very short distance from heaven to hell in this business, but maybe slightly bigger this season. Seems like AV and his team is doing a vastly superior job on individual coaching that what appeared to be the case last season. It's early, but AV is starting to impress.

I'm not saying that everyone who had had doubts about him thinks like that, just that some people seem to do.

I'm just waiting for the official zuccarello shirt to be available/released...

For my Collection..

He came from Russia and he was just in fine physical shape then. The NHL isnt some special physical beastleague where players are bigger and meaner than in any other league.

He can finish this season, and the playoffs, in stride.

Legit question though: Why is there even a question raised about wether or not his physical state will be sufficient for a full NHL season ? I dont see the same question being raised for other AHL recruits.
