It's been well over a year, but I think it's time to revive this thread.

He's been playing great the last 3 matches. Definitely top 3 forwards. So let's see if he can keep this up. I love him on the Kreider line.

Not to mention, very interesting to see him play penalty kill! What was that about :P

All the hatred turned into silence now when he plays well again. This fanbase just makes me laugh, I guess some are busy eating crow.

Im one of the few who supported Zucc all the way, I know his game will return when he's on a line with players like Hagelin or Kreider.

The Kreider-Step-Zucc line should remain intact, lots of energy and fun to watch, great puck control and passing.

Nobody will eat any crow after just 3 games, surely.
In the case of Zuccarello, it seems the sample size is always too small when he's doing well, but solid if he's not doing anything.

Larry Brooks even said he played like a man possessed last night. Playing with Kreider and Stepan probably gives the team its best line. I like him killing penalties. It keeps him in the game more. He has played 10 games. He should have 5 points by now based on his past. He is 3 points behind his normal pace but I expect him to make up for those 3 points with some multi point games. Some media/fans on twitter thought he deflected our 2nd goal. I did not see it so I can not say.

Kreider needs to stay with zucc, they compliment eachother perfectly. Zucc played the best I've ever seen him play.

He plays like a little Norwegian honey badger, if they all played with that edge they would be so much better IMO.

lol Zuc goes from fans wanting him waived to sitting a game to bouncing back and getting the appreciation thread bumped.

The way I see it he is a RFA and if he shows he can provide some offense then the guy is going to get resigned , otherwise they may as well package him in a deal

Players to keep in my books are
Stepan, Kreider, Hagelin, Brassard, Nash, Callahan, Dorsett and then its all up in the air. I likely dump Boyle, Moore, Pouliott, Asham, Powe, Pyatt during this yr or as UFA

I didn't include Miller to stay cause not sure if he needs time to develop like I think Fast and Lindberg do

I really like what I'm seeing. He's creative. He's got heart.....but:

It's only been a few games

...and

He needs to put the biscuit in the basket.

This team needs talented player to score.

Last night he received a boarding penalty, and almost ended up in a fight. His lack of size is obviously not much of an issue, at least he's not afraid of the bigger guys.

He definitely doesn't play small. He does get muscled off the puck on occassion, he's not as strong as say St Louis, but it doesn't happen as often as I'd expect. He's shifty, uses his lower center of balance well, and is stronger than he looks.

He kinda annihilated that guy against the boards... I'm not sure wether to be mad or impressed

I think that was Kevin Baumer, but he has obviously removed it now.

If he can stay in there for 70 games, I'm confident he will have at least 35 points.

So far it's been a treat watching him with Kreider. Of course kreider plays the first violin. But it sure is entertaining. Hope it shows on the scoreboard too.

That is not enough for a playmaker playing on a 1A, 1B top line. He has to have more points in the role he has had the last couple of games to justify that TOI. Not saying I don't think it will happen though.

The frustrating thing to start the season with Zuccarello was that he was not utilizing his speed and creativity the same way he is now. He looks like a completely different player.

That's because he's taking advantage of his mother while she's in town :sarcasm:

Not sure which interview was more awkward to watch, that or Giannone vs Gomez.

He is 1+2, so only 2 points behind. If he gets more time with Kreider,I'm sure his gonna pump it up.

Agreed, but I expect him to get less TOI when Callahan and Nash is back.I don't see a place for him in the top 6 then.

The Zucc line remains intact if they continue to play like this, no coach will remove great chemistry and offense. When they're all healthy the lineup may very well look something like this.

Kreider-Stepan-Zuccarello
Richards-Brassard-Nash
Hagelin-Miller-Callahan
Pouliot-Boyle-Dorsett

Pyatt

I have to agree that I'm not sure where exactly Zucc fits in once cally and Nash return, assuming that everyone are still in a stride.

I believe the line will remain intact as long as possible, and that Callahan will do the tour on the third line until changes need to be made

3 points in 11 games and now we're gonna eat crow?

yeah, no

he's had a few nice games in a row, but bumping his appreciation thread? Really? He didn't even score.

He never should have had an appreciation thread in the first place. On HFNYR they give out appreciation threads like candy on Halloween.

So we only appreciate people who score ?

3 in his last 4GP, each of those 3 being Wins. He's been in integral part of our best line recently, people are just giving credit where it is due. He had to be better, and he stepped up.
