Ok, not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but Zuck is NOT the smallest player in the league!

Gerbe playing for the Sabres is listed as 5,5" ffs! Come on... That is like beeing born in those tiny Kinder Egg candies :D :handclap:

If a player should ever be given patience as the coach's project, as Renney had with Hossa... Zuccarello should be Tort's.

It's pretty evident Zuke's ice vision and puck skills are pretty awesome. Just give him time to find his game and see what he can do. And he doesn't let his size stop him, he plays a very physical game and succeeds in creating turnovers.

I also don't think Stepan and Wolski are his ideal linemates, I would still like to see Zuccarello paired with Gaborik.

There was a story about Mats on Norwegian tv now. He is going back to New York 2 months before training camp to work with Reg Grant (Rangers Strength and Conditioning Coach) and to work on his skating with some special coach. He also says that he is going to do everything he can to make the team out of camp and to earn a new contract after next season.

His arm has also healed well

Wow. Leaving 2 months early is pretty damn early but that shows how determined he is. Im exited to see him again next season and I know he is going to impress enough to easily make the team out of camp.

Great. That's what MZA has to do. If he can become stockier and improve his skating he'll be on the team next year at the beginning of the year.

I'd love to see Hagelin/Prospal/Avery-Stepan-MZA as the third line next year.

That's the right thing to do...Be prepared and stay sharp...

But how is this solved "in real life"...

Does he pay for the coach with his own money?

Is the coach a full time Rangers employee ?(Ie the training is paid for by Rangers)

I reckon he'll pay for the 2 month hotel stay himself..

Again this is the way to go for him..

Which TV-channel?

Good for Zuc! Atheleticism really seems to be what's hampering him right now. His sense and playmaking definitely make him a project worth the time and effort of the team.

Love to hear this. What I like about MZA is that he is always open about his shortcomings (no pun intended ;)) and wants to work hard to overcome them. He showed so much skill last season until he ran face first into the rookie wall and playoff-style hockey. If he can get stronger and fight off more of those checks, he might end up being quite a find for this team in the long run. But then again, if he follows the same route as last season, his Ranger career could be short one with some promising young names on the way.

So, shouldnt he be called up soon?

He is doing well in Whale.. What do Rangers-fans think of him right now?

Id like him to get another shot this season, we sure could use his skill on the PP. And its not a real big risk playing him over Mitchell, whatever might spark the PP is worth trying imo.

the guy made the AHL All Star team and is dominating that league. He deserves to be called up

At the very least I think he has trade value as someone will give him a look to end the yr then maybe resign him.

Right now he could replace any of AA, Boyle or Mitchell...

Both due to him wrecking havock in ahl and them not in the nhl...

But that's not going to happen unless Tort's looks at things diffently..

Rangers are having one of their best seasons of all time, and are on a pace to 115 points and the President´s trophy. When they didn´t want him earlier in the season, why now?

Zuke won´t be called up unless there´s an injury in the top lines. No use having him play in 3rd or 4th line. If he keeps up his spectacular play the next 2-3 weeks, I´m confident he´ll get tradet by deadline. Hopefully to a team that needs him.

Wolski - Richards - Zuccarello

Why not? These are the types of players Richards has had success with in the past. I realize though it would never happen under Torts.

I think That line could probably make some plays but at this point Torts system is dump and chase at all costs and none of those Players strengths lies in retrieving the puck . Torts is going to ride Defense first grinding hockey until it fails thus no Players that aren't strong on one on one battles or defensively responsible

That line would be WAY too slow, defensively inept, and soft. Richards succeeded with Neal and Eriksson in Dallas. One is a top nothc two-way winger, the other one is a rugged sniper. Total opposites.

I can only imagine the ineptitude of that line past the offensive zone.
