Put Zucc with Callahan already. Jesus if Zucc was with someone who could acutally score from in the front of the net like Cally could he would have another 4 assists. Guy makes perfect passes to the front of the net but yet he is passing to useless Boyle and Mitchell who couldnt hit the side of a barn.

Agree. I saw chemistry with these two already last year in the PP. Callahan and Zuccarello are both very smart and Callahan will bury many of those passes from Zuccarello were others miss.

From Rangers tweet;

I think Mitchel and Zooks are showing good chemistry together. I do not want them broken up. I wish there was a way Torts could just leave that line alone for at least 1 more game.

wow Torts actially listened to me. That line has the potential to score some goals. use the 4th as a grit line

Oh that is good to hear. I really want him to stay a Ranger. He is my favorite current player.

more than Henrik Lundqvist, Ryan Callahan, Marian Gaborik, Michael Del Zotto, Ryan McDonagh, Brandon Prust, Dan Girardi, Marc Staal, Brad Richards, and Carl Hagelin....

really?

Why not?

Obviously he's nowhere near close to my favorite player, but he's a very interesting prospect with a very interesting story who plays the game respectably. He has a lot of heart, plays bigger than his size, and is very talented. Plus when I met him outside the Garden he was very personable, and actually carried a conversation.

I really like the guy, too. I don't think it's any weirder than people saying Hags is their favorite player. If somehow Hank isn't everybody's favorite player, then there's no holds barred.

I hope he finally gets to stick with the team, preferably in a top 6 role even though I don't see that happening.

MZA-Stepan/Arty-Callahan.

I like most of those Rangers a lot as well but Zooks is my fave player at this point. Fave player doesnt mean best player.

Send him down.
Not an NHL player.
Too small, not enough points, liability on the defense.
Plus too many norwegians following him.

So then...

Hags - Brad - Gabby
Dubi - Steps - O Captain, my Captain!
AA - Boyle - Zucc
Rupp - Mitchell - Prust

I like. There's some depth and scoring threat from 3 lines.

Does Prust belong here? He's a useful tool, but didn't know he was comparable with the other names mentioned here, as a fan favourite.

Personally I actually really like Boyle. Great size, excellent defensive / box player and also seems like a nice guy. Reminds me of someone but can't recall who. Everybody seems to say last year was a fluke when it comes to scoring, but to me it seems more like this year is a slump. Go Boyle.

Zuccs earned the right to stay after last season IMO, but I'm not going to gripe about it because we did pretty damn well this season without him. Still I would've like him to play more than the final 15 or so games.

He's actually my current favorite player as well. Just a great story and I really root for him. That doesn't mean I think he's the best player, or most skilled, or whatever else...

We have no use for him in our lineup. Send him down where he belongs, qualify him and trade him to ####.

Hes useful on the powerplay. Creative little guy. Hes still absolutely lost on the defensive side of the puck. I dont know if he'll ever learn that part of the game and, if he doesnt, he'll never get consistent even strength minutes at the NHL level.

He had a good couple of games and looks like an NHL player.

Of course, he looked that way early in his stint last year too and couldn't sustain it. Let's wait and see.

It should make everybody very happy to see Zucarello come up from Hartford and perform this way.

Tell me - when was the last time you saw the Rangers make one of those faceoff win, puck back to a guy waiting for it, hammer at the net plays. I'm not saying that they are common in the league, but I really cannot remember the last time the Rangers did this. It was a beautiful play, even if it rang off the post. At least Zuccs can hit the net.

His first goal after coming up when he was in the crease causing havoc. His goal against the Devils where he went to the net, and then did not shoot the puck wide or over the net.
This is the kind of basic hockey stuff we need. Richards is getting back to it, and doing well. Callahan has always done it.
I hope it continues to be contagious.

Zuccarello is a breath of fresh air. He shows a nose for the net, he can pass, and he is not afraid of the dirty stuff. What's not to like? (Yeah, I know I will hear from some people taking me up on my offer ;-) )

Honestly it would be a shame at this point in time for Zucc to be anywhere below the third line. I'm actually really intrigued at the thought of him forming a third line with anisimov to give this team three lines that can be scoring threats.

The problem is I'm not sure Torts would be comfortable giving up the 'jam' that isn't going to be provided with that line.

There is not rationale however that Zucc should be demoted anytime soon. He's got the quarter amount of goals as dubsinsky already with such a little amount of games played.

Its really been enjoyable to watch the spark he's provided to the pp. Three balanced scoring lines would really make this team set up for a run. They will not be able to grind out teams all the way to the cup victory..... Just seeing the proposed lines that practiced today on paper really give you the feel that there is plenty of talent in the lineup

Am I the only person that feels Zooks and Mitchell have worked well together and would rather they stay together for now?

Funny how differently it looks through my eyes.

He's a nice 3rd line energy player and I've noticed the chemistry between him and Boyle. I like the guy, he's a creative player and he's a class act, but I do not see a spot for him on the playoff roster under the impression that the team is fully healthy.
