OT: The Wild Board Jukebox Thread: Part Deux

Arch Enemy dropped a new song just a couple of hours ago. I wonder if there's a 25% tariff on metal too, or is it just a paper tiger?

Other than the singing, they went full 80's metal on that.
I can see you like your swedish 80's style metal as much as anyone. Here's another swedish west coast band with that 80's vibe.

I'd heard of them before. Never gave them a listen. Can't say that song did much for me really. I'll check out some of their other stuff. Mebbe just didn't like that tune.

I branched out from Swedish rock / metal. I've had a few of their tunes in one of my playlists for a few years. This song isn't "brand new", but I hadn't heard it til yesterday. New Kissing Dynamite. If I remember correctly, they're German. Great groove to it.

:eek3: What...why you do me like this...;)

Good tune. Reminded me a little bit about this one. Don't ask me why, they sound nothing alike.
But I listen to this song once in a while.

Marta did a cover of this song a couple of years ago. With a swedish drummer...

Did you like Peacemaker? They had a funny scene where Sister Sin was playing on the car stereo..
She's not a fan of the swedish metal, lol..

I've never even heard of it.
Great show with John Cena from the Suicide Squad . Funny stuff. Great soundtrack, all 80's metal. Many swedish bands like Sister Sin, Cruel Intentions, Dynazty, The Poodles among others.
Juvenile humour below the equator, just as I like it.

Sorry. It just happened. See? More Germans:

Ok, my dude, you got me big time on this one. Listened to it 4 times now.
Don't know how to sway you back on the swedes again.
I met this guy once back in the late 80's, I was still a teenager then. It was on the Hultsfred Festival, at that time the biggest summer festival in the deep woods of Småland, south mid Sweden.
I was strutting around in the beer tent area, a little tipsy with a fresh beer in my hand. Spotted a seat and asked if I may sit down. Sure, he said. I didn't even see who it was at first. He was such a cool, friendly, laidback dude, and we got along pretty well. There were others at the table too, but he made sure to include me in the company. Later I saw them play on the biggest stage, and then I realised who it was.
Conny, the lead singer and guitarist of Electric Boys, pretty big band in Sweden at the time.
They released a new song a week ago.

This song is also on the new album, I think you may like this more. I think you owe me at least two listens, right?

He also had a stint in a pretty famous band from Finland, Hanoi Rocks. The band with the drummer, Razzle, who Vince Neil from Mötley Crue killed in a car accident.

Electric Boys hit just a little too late here by the time grunge took off. I think they'd have been bigger had they gotten on the scene in the US sooner. By the time that 2nd album came out the 80's rock scene was done. Their song "All Lips 'N Hips" was a staple at strip clubs here in the states for a couple years though. PHENOMENAL groove to that tune.

I could have sworn there was a music OT but I couldn't find it in the last 10 pages so I'm posting this here.
Randomly stumbled onto this video. It is in German, but the song is catchy and the visuals are stunning, for those that don't know German. Just watch, listen, and enjoy.

PS. You can turn on subtitles and use the auto translate to get a decent idea of the lyrics, if you so wish.

Nothing new or fresh here, but honestly, I'm fine with it. Love the song and I love what Katatonia have crafted themselves into. They could keep pushing out records that sound roughly the same as the last, I don't know, 6 albums. I'll buy it and enjoy it.

This is what I've been chewing on for a bit. Deafheaven back to their hard blackgaze roots. Experimental poppy stuff GONE. I love it. Not going to be manys thing...

I was lamenting Anders leaving. Still disappointed he's gone. But, really doesn't seem the sound has changed or there's been a downgrade in the guitar. Still sounds like them and it's good.

This weird artsy music video might be a better argument for Deafheaven. So good. Very weird. You still won't like it if you don't like shrieking. Lol

I like what is happening in this thread.
I got nothing new, just enjoying your stuff.

I'm into some old 70's stuff right now, not sure if any of you would get into it though.
UFO - "Lights out", "I'm a loser" and "Out in the Street" is heavy on my playlist these days.
Also "Aint no baby", an early diss track about a band (Babys) on their label Chrysalis.
Their live album "Strangers in the night" is one of the best live albums ever released, showcasing the great genius of guitar player Michael Schenker.

I like this clip.

A fellow Swede of yours is touring with Schenker doing his 'UFO years' tour:

Found this while searching of a new song by Avantasia that's got Roy on it and this popped up. Was kinda meh at the start, but man that turned into a really cool song. And...JFC, Roy, honestly is my fav vocalist of all time.

That's a new one... this is their best one. It's epic (viewer discretion advised)

Took 2 months, but I finally gave this a listen. Vaguely reminds me of a couple Poets Of The Fall tunes. POTF would not be considered my normal listening vein. Little mellower and pop-ish than I'd listen to, but they're incredible musicians and, honestly they write great shit. I like this tune. Think I like most of what you've posted of theirs. Not sure why I haven't given them more of a listen.

[EDIT]: Think there is another song of theirs that reminds me more of it, but this is the first that came to mind. Like I say, the comparison is vague, but I sometimes hear weird shit no one else does.
