Okay a bit random but those Spence Diamond commercials on the radio are not only annoying, but the people on them sound extremely creepy.

Love that you can hear everything you want later in podcast form with no commercials.

They realized the guy whooping or whatever you call it sounded stupid, so they went away from it. Then they went for weird ads with unlikable characters. Then they added the whooping dipshit back into the mix with the weird shit.

What.... you have an issue with Callum?

I have an issue with Sekeres and his nasally voice and the fact he could store 3 or 4 Swanson meals in his neck folds. He makes Bob Mackenzie look like a jockey. He's not long for this world at this point if he keeps up like this.

But he is adored here so I expect some backlash for this post.

We should be happy with any local coverage. National writers and commentators are laughably flailing on most Western teams, because they simply don't watch them.

In today's Athletic league-wide analysis, Jesse Granger writes that "subpar goaltending" is why Vancouver projects to be his "biggest disappointment". Another writer points out the existence of Lankinen, to which Granger responds with "oh yeah, I just looked up his numbers." This isn't a podcast; it's a published article of "expert analysis". Meanwhile, Mirtle calls Kaprizov "a shiny new toy", despite three straight 40 goal seasons. If he played for Toronto, they would be rationalizing themselves into paying him 15 million.

Nevermind that Hughes didn't get any attention for the Hart as his performance has to be watched, rather than just looking up his stats once in awhile.

Aren't fans getting pissed off with the lack of independent media coverage on the mainstream media?
The game time media is all owned and scripted by the team.
Only only one media person on road trips? And he is paid in part by the team or Rogers. He is paid by Sportsnet which is owned by Rogers so, biased stories and questions?

I am listening to Sportsnet right now and hearing how I can buy into a 50/50 draw to support metro Toronto minor hockey, really got me motivated.

Hronek injured, it looked serious and all it gets is a sentence in IMac's story and not even mentioned on the post game media presentation.

Even if there is anything mentioned is quotes from other media, "Dahli said blah, blah, blah" even if he is giving an opinion, a guess or maybe a script.
The information comes from themselves and if ANYONE has a different source they get talked to or something like that.

The team is controlling the information, so the fans are not as informed as they should be, the team feels no need to answer fans questions or to the fans. The team gets no information about the fan apathy they are building up until it gets to the point of empty seats and then that isn't mentioned either.

Team control is so powerful that when was the last time there was a negative story on mainstream media about management? Or even speculation? The seasons aren't perfect, there will be warts every now and then, there isn't/shouldn't be 100% confidence that they are perfect. But never a whisper of ANYTHING that could or should include the coach or management.

Social video shows like Spittin Chiclets are reporting more complete information because they don't rely on the NHL or teams to earn money.

The time is coming to start posting decent social media sports shows as an alternative to scripted Rogers sports shows or listening to talking about recipes or other unrelated NOT funny stories about dogs, cats, bridges or weather for half a SHOW.

Some of these social media posters do get players or agents leaking more inside info as long as they stay anonymous which can be hard thats so where it comes from is not revealed. The NHL and teams have long legal arms.

Vancouver is appearing to be the most censored information of al the teams now but it is spreading in Canada. There used to be competition in Canada but not anymore or a whole lot less.
