I'm sure we'll get plenty of overreaction, and Tripp is too much in the spin zone, but they are at the end of the first leg of this road trip and have been on the road so much this year. They've played fairly well recently and they just looked like they ran out of gas.

Also, even putting the goals aside, many of which I don't totally fault Koch for, he played awful.

I think it’s also time to scrap the whole send Staal out for the face off and make a quick change routine. He doesn’t win them like he used to, and his slow ass skating back to the bench opens up too much ice.

I haven't been keeping a close eye on it, but I will say that many of the games I've worked lately, Staal has been under 50% in the dot. KK has, surprisingly, been our best faceoff guy this year. Too bad he can't seem to do much else.

It was amazing when it first started, and then in probably year 2 or 3 some teams coached the fun out of it. And yes they should cut the shit and stop sending Jordan out there, he isn’t the best Faceoff guy right now and he’s not fast enough to do much at 3 on 3.

Put Necas-Aho-Burns out there and win or lose in the first 30 seconds like God intended.

Being a good team (playing not so good) we got a point. 3 v 3 is a gamble. It's anyone's guess. Slavin had the puck on his stick and for some reason decided to pass to Aho who was covered. Had he held onto it, it could have ended with 2 points.

Someone mentioned how many games they’ve had on the road already (and more to come this month). It is taking a toll on the players. Regardless of the quality of the mattress Of nice hotels … not being in one’s own bed can make one mentally exhausted. This season has been brutal for that, for the Canes.

They did scrap it. Aho took the draw to open OT and lost it.

Can anyone remember the last time they actually won the OT faceoff? Like two years ago?
