4 series against divisional opponents theoretically helps with the Yanks always being the Yanks, Tampa always Tampa'ing the Jays, and the O's entering their window. It looks pretty balanced outside of them going to Anaheim at the tail end of their opening road trip.

In 'useless stats that I am completely making up' this gives him a max exit + throw velocity of 220.2 MPH. Seems good!

why does the MLB all star game have to be during the week. Was looking to do the trip

Will post it here. I think it's very disturbing what's happening to Kikuchi for the human element

Good win today.
About Kikuchi though, the guy is not right mentally. You have a 7 run lead and can't find the zone. He threw a slider at 3-0 too which shows he doesn't trust his fastball. Thats the big thing.
After Walker's visit, he looked good. After an error on the DP ball, he lost it again. Just look at the way he received the ball from Kirk after the error, his facial expression is not what you want to see.
He was shaking his head when he gave the ball to Schnieder. He's clearly fighting it. I'm not even angry anymore at him. It's at the point where you feel bad for him because he's trying but it's not working. Forget about the team for a second, just hope he finds it for his own sake. I am concerned for him mentally. As a human, it's tough what he's going through
Nice post man. Thumbs up!

In other news. Not sure if this is intentional or not, but doesn't Barger's plate setup kind of look like a left-handed Jose Bautista's (post breakout)? High hands, flat approach, rotational swing, with dangling leg kick.

Meh, you said it's hard to feel bad for him because of his salary/performance. That pretty obviously suggests some combination of A) the salary makes up for any mental health issues, and/or B) you don't care about any mental health issues because he sucks/is overpaid.
Please show in my post where I mentioned anything about mental health, and/or especially mentioning not caring about mental health. Thanks.

He's making 16 million to perform, he's not doing what he's paid to do.

I, unlike others, won't make a diagnosis based simply on body language, or speculate otherwise as to why he's struggling.

Looking at the schedule and standings I doubt the Twins will make it. Sox have a chance but need to go on a run. I’m hoping the O’s decline because that would mean a good path for the Jays to make it. The key for the jays is they need to do well against the easy part of their schedule during this stretch.

Jays control their own destiny. Nobody can catch the Jays if they keep playing rock solid. I still have my sights higher on the Yankees. Let's go Blue Jays!

should've kept Taijuan Walker

Their contracts don't exactly overlap. It was the sunk cost fallacy in Roark that ended up having them not re-sign Walker (and opting for Ray/Matz instead).

Knowing that Ryu's down for basically the entire season next year, and the Jays were already very aggressive in targeting Freeman/Schwarber after adding Gausman, I think the Jays still have room to sign/acquire an impact player this offseason.

Edit: Verlander also almost signed with the Jays last offseason.
