Apple also makes a ton of money selling their shitty phone chargers, which seem to have a problem with breaking over and over and over and over and over and over again. I swear I go through 6 chargers for every lifespan of a iPhone! I just had to get one earlier today. $15 frickin bucks! I'd get a cheap generic one if I could, they probably last even longer, if not just as long at least.

Usually mine tend to start breaking at the insulation because the cord isn't long enough, but my last one broke at the plug. The piece was actually in my phone, but it came intact from the plug. Never had that happen before. A charger that's like 3-4 weeks old, as I just got this phone.

Dude, just get the cheap 3rd-party ones off Amazon. I have dozens of them laying around because I'd see one every day on sale for like $5.

Maybe next time haha. I was in a pinch and needed one! I actually went all of last night without my phone and it sucked.

I was looking just for the cord, as I have an overabundance of the adapters, but those were sold out. That would have only costed me $7 bucks.

I didn't realize anyone on this board would be old enough to remember the show :)
I'm not that old.. .. Iron Maiden wrote a song about it. 3rd song on Number of the Beast is The Prisoner. They use the intro from the TV show at the beginning of the song.

Actually, that may be how I originally found out about the show.

They can be, though, because they make money selling hardware - Facebook and Google make money selling you.

They're both horrible and lie.

FB lied to congress recently.

Google is so powerful I dont think they even care, because they know they have politicians in their pocket. They're even arrogant about it.

Google is involved in some cruel stuff in China

Great point.

And the hypocrisy of that given they act "holier-than-thou" like they're the most morally responsible company on planet earth. Just sickening.

No GOOG, you're willfully helping a Communist regime keep tabs on its' citizens & keep them in line (and worse, much worse).

EDIT: I actually switched to Bing after recently learning that. I'm done. Admittedly I will still use GOOG maps, because it's far superior to MSFT's map technology, but that's it. And I need to do research and see if there's a better alternative to Bing (it's search organization isnt as good as GOOG I'm learning).

oh yeah…that solo (2:40)

I like the Maiden version :)

When I first heard Number of the Beast in 1982 it was unlike anything I had ever heard before.

If you like Solo's check this one out that starts about 3:42. It a classic Iron Maiden dual solo by Adrian Smith and Dave Murray. Seemless between the two of them.

If you have an iPhone, Apple Maps is actually pretty decent now. I use Google Maps out of habit, though.

had a 10 o clock call with one of our clients...so i called in at 9:59...come to find out that the client was not able to join us yet due to a fire drill.

so we just waited on the line with their broker until 1030.

Why we don’t have laws preventing this kind of thing, I have no idea. Google really hates privacy. Say what you will about Apple but they value user data as part of their proprietary information.
Frankly, if something isn't expressly said in the Constitution about it, people disregard your rights.

The most amazing thing about Iron Maiden is that Bruce Dickenson is their pilot for their 747. Quite an accomplished dude.

anyone been to japan before? going in a few weeks, and would love any tips/recs from people that have been before
Been there a couple times. I'm 6'4" and 250 pounds. I felt like Godzilla there. Tokyo is *NOT* made for someone my size.

Aside from that, I don't remember enough for any advice for you, other than getting the exit row or business class for the flight. 15 hour flight? I CAN'T EVEN SIT ON MY COUCH FOR 15 HOURS.
