2 firefighters were shot in an adjacent town this morning while responding to a fire. Seems that both are still alive although not much info is available yet.

I think I am getting sick. My brother came home from school with something and now I think I am getting it.
 
Who does that? I can understand having a quarrel with the cops, but why would anyone shoot firefighters or EMTs?

My dad (a retired city firefighter) knows one of the survivors. Shot in his ass, which apparently broke his pelvis and did something to his spine.

They're saying the shooter was a convicted murderer and essentially set a fire as a trap.

If those Westboro ****s show up here I'm just going to stand in front of them with the biggest hammer I can find and stare at the kids they bring with them as shields. Perhaps put a robe on and ask them who in their group were first borns.

My hero. You sir, are the poster of 2012. If you do this, you will be remembered as the greatest HF'er in the history of the internet. But seriously. The Westboro people just prevent proper burial and funeral... disgrace
 
Looks like that storm I was following last week is a go. NW NJ is on the r/s line, but Hunterdon, Sussex, Warren should get at least 3" or more even if it mixes. The last two models seem to want to dip south, and if that were to verify those counties could get 6" or more. Parts of PA, NY, and VT could get well over a foot from this.

And now there's a possible SECOND storm that may hit on 12/30 that could bring 6" to 8" to much of NJ, but it's still a week out so there's less uncertainty, but the European model really seems to want to make a big deal out of this one with substantial snows from DC to Boston.

Criminologists wont be surprised at the novel nature of this crime given all the media attention the dirtbag in CT received.

These suicidal mass killers often try to "1-up" the previous dirtbag, usually in body count, but my guess is that given firemen are so beloved, this guy thought he could approach the media attention of the kindergarden shooter by starting an inferno and killing firemen.

Psychological profilers KNOW this, (and so does the media) and yet the media just lavishes more and more attention on these killers, which they interpret as fame. Attention that they craved and never received in life.

But hey, Television ratings > people's lives.
 
Watching Dexter and the on crime scene they said that the guy beat his wife to death with a hockey stick in Nebraska. Could've made it a bit more realistic aha.

That firefighter thing is horrible, those kind of attempted traps happen a lot more frequently than the public is made aware - Backdraft kind of stuff if you've ever seen that movie

The westboro people won't be able to get near these funerals at all regardless if it is known if they'll show or not because of how many firefighters and people in general from all over will be attending the processions for the victims

What I'd like to know is with all these people ****ed in the head going on their tirades, where the hell has the idiot been that is going to shoot up the westboro people?

What the **** man? This dude killed his grandmother with a hammer, and got like 17 years or something ridiculous like that? Only 17 years or 15 or whatever? I read the article hours ago, but I just remember seeing he murdered his 92 year old grandmother back in 1980, and only went to prison for 16 years or something.
