I just keep it attached to my earbuds. The only difference between my 6 and 7, in that case, was that my earbud cable is now like 1.5" longer.

That's why I do with the aux cable in my car BUT I can't charge the phone and use that at the same time unless I buy the adapter. Which again is silly and a moneygrab.

Side note but my 6 was fine for a year and a half but those last 6 months it was the biggest piece of **** ever. Stopped holding a charge, would say it's at 78% then turn off, I'd plug it in and says it's at like 40%. The battery died something fierce in that thing.

Does anyone know of a reliable website that compares companies such as TV providers and cell phone service to see which company offers the best deals? Really looking to downgrade my tv and cell bill but there's so much information to dig through.

I've only had my iPhone 6 for less than a year and a half. It was late April of 2016, and it's been mostly downhill since before it got to be a year old, as far as charging goes. I can't even lounge around with it unplugged, using the internet on wifi for 2.5 hours, before it's completely depleted down to 0%. And that's from a full charge. And on wifi, whereas I know data drains it faster.

And for the last 3 months or so, I can't even talk on it without putting it on speakerphone. The other party can't hear me, unless I have it on speaker phone. The iPhone 4s that I had before this was much better. It didn't start to drain like this did at a year old, until it was 2 years old.

The 6 was my first iPhone after of years with droids. I really like the simplicity of it but the battery thing really pissed me off with it. The 7 has been good so far minus the stupid no headphone jack and the inability to charge and use the lighting port at the same time without an adapter. I'm not due for a new phone until NEXT October but I might look at getting the + simply because of the Portrait mode on the camera. It's incredible.

I feel like the headphone jack thing is like how I initially felt when I found out the new car I was looking to buy last year didn't have a CD player.

This happened to a girl I know who recently bought a Mazda. She had no idea it didn't have a CD player because that wasn't something she thought was possible. Had to buy a new stereo for a new car! :shakehead

This is why an internal battery is an absolute deal-breaker for me. I use the Samsung Galaxy S5 and I just pop-in and pop-out extra batteries. Replaceable batteries are such a no-brainer that I guarantee the market is going to swing back to them before too long. Give it a few years.

I'm not sure what I'm going to get when I'm due for an upgrade. Probably another iPhone, but It will probably be the 6+ or the 7. I don't really need the newest model.

I always figured that the battery would cost a decent amount of replacing the entire phone. Don't the batteries cost something like 50%-60% of what the phone is worth? I had a battery that was awful like that, back when I had a Samsung flip phone, years ago. It had an external battery. I remember the phone was only worth like $40-$50 bucks and a new battery would have been $30 bucks or something. I figured I'd just hold out for an upgrade by that point, since I was close anyway.

And I'd be okay with a car that didn't have a CD player, AS LONG as it had the auxiliary plug in. I got the Apple music for $9.99 a month recently, and it's so much more convenient than listening to CD's. I have like 300-400 songs downloaded to my phone. I'm kind of bummed that I didn't try this earlier. I always thought the obscure music that I listened to wouldn't be on there.

I buy them cheap non-OEM on EBAY for roughly $5 each. They dont last as long as the Samsung batteries, but at 2 for $9, who cares? I carry an extra in my pocket, in my center console, in my backpack, my hunting bag, on the nightstand, etc... I've got the OEM and about 6 extras. It's really great when I'm flying somewhere, I'll carry several.

Frank Vincent passed away yesterday. A shame, very underrated, solid actor. Never had any lead roles but plenty of memorable performances and was of course part of one of the more iconic movie scenes in history with Billy Batts. Raging Bull, Goodfellas, Casino, Cop Land, The Sopranos, a voice in several of the Grand Theft Autos.

Now go home and get your ****in shinebox!

Always liked him, and felt bad that he was only more known for secondary roles than lead roles. He was certainly good enough for them.

RIP.

Ya know, my last 3 vacations were to Antigua/Barbuda, St. Marteen, and Marco Island. I feel like the hurricane is trying to wipe out any record of my travels.

There was no reason to mention this at the time, but previous to those places, I went to Dominica, which just got WALLOPED. These hurricanes are really trying to erase every place I've vacationed at over the last decade.

And yes, I did just quote myself :)

PR hasn't taken a direct hit from a storm this strong since the 20s.

Definitely quite rare to see two Cat 5s in the same season. I know it happened in 2007 and 2005, but overall it is rare.

While rare, I almost guarantee it's happened a lot more, it's just that we didn't know it.

A lot of this stuff you keep hearing as "unprecedented", really isn't, it is man's ability to know it's occurring that's unprecedented.

For instance, these hurricanes survive for days on end and sometimes only last as a Category 5 for mere "hours", and technology has only been good enough for so many years to monitor / acknowledge it. Until recently, if something went Cat 5 over a bunch of fish, who would have known? Nobody. But now we can record those windspeeds even when the hurricane is miles from land.
