If Slafkovsky is hurt, they should just take him out. I have no idea why they would want him to play threw something in a lost year. As for Dach, keep playing him until he actually busts. There’s nobody in this line up that’s blocking him from playing. If he doesn’t rebound at some point, we can make a decision then.Slaf - no big deal. Especially since he clearly suffered an injury and is probably not playing healthy. Not worried about him at all.
Dach was never a goal scorer so I'd be less concerned with that. But... he hasn't played well and we were banking on him as our 2nd line center. It's not good news that the guy we're counting on for that role is playing on the wing.
We need to be patient and give him this year to show what he can do. But it really is make or break. If he can't show that he can do it this season then we need to get a 2nd line pivot. We can keep Dach but we shouldn't depend on him going forward. It sucks, it's not fair... the injuries were brutal but we can't just wait around for this guy to do the job.
Yeah, as I just mentioned in another thread... if they don't trust Dach then maybe just get a 2nd line center to get us through this period. Let Dach find his game on the wing. He can always be put back there later if there's an injury. The team has been so patient with him but him shitting the bed now is just...If Slafkovsky is hurt, they should just take him out. Injuries f***ed things up. Nothing you can do about that.If Dach doesn't improve over the course of the year in a massive way I don't think there's any possibility of the Habs not actively acquiring a scoring center. They'll have to. It'll cost an arm and a leg though and what a massive disappointment considering what we gave up for him.
I don’t think it’s time for them to go. I think they have a few more weeks and months to their credit but the seat is getting hotter. You can’t have the whole team look so disjointed.
Can't disagree:
We hired a dude who never coached professionally and a dude who was never GM.
The Habs way.
I don’t think Hughes’ inexperience is necessarily a problem but Zito had management experience with Columbus for five years. Hughes did not.Don't Google Bill Zito.

Indeed — and first round busts.Didn't Gorts get shitcanned from NYR because he built a team of wussies and they couldn't win?
After 10 years of Bergevin, this is all just a blur now. When HuGo came on I thought we would slingshot into contention like Vegas did but sadly it’s just been dawning on me that it’ll be more of an odyssey than not. We’re not lucky enough to have ambitious management — we have country clubs and foxholes. We know how to pick em

Gorton was shitcanned because he wanted to continue the rebuild, but the owner(s) had enough after ~3 years.Didn't Gorts get shitcanned from NYR because he built a team of wussies and they couldn't win?
Plus there are only so many p***yes available and Gorts signed them allGorton was shitcanned because he wanted to continue the rebuild, but the owner(s) had enough after ~3 years.
MM? Edit : nvm, Mike MathesonWhat's up with JT Miller? I know he's old and signed long term but I'd do MM and Dach for him if he wants out.
Other teams can probably offer more tho.
Carry on
