His passes too.
 
Even if he don't play his best hockey (team are not too good aswell lol!), he have 8 points in 9 games. That's a really good news. Last year, he played good in the beginning, but don't have points.

He have all tools to dominate, I just want to see him shooting more, but I'm very confident about his game, physical, passing, hands, defensive... he have all that!

He reminds me of Caufield in that way. When Caufield isn't scoring, he still does other things well such as causing turnovers and making great passing plays. He always gives effort as well. Slaf is always useful like that out there, and he is still super young as well.

I find that NHL is very generous in giving credit to the point. It happens a lot that a player doesn't truly contribute to the goal much, but the player still gets the point. So far, Slaf hasn't been impactful. He's collecting points, but not a real driver in those goals.

It's like Suzuki who struggled in the first few games although he was still productive Ipoints wise). Suzuki gets better lately.
 
A 2 point game tonight and he is back to PPG, and on pace for 79 points (having missed 3 games).

Would you guys be happy with 79 points in his 3rd season?

I would.

I know it seems soft but rather he sit out a few more games. Concussions are no joke and career ending. Might as well rest up another week in this nothing season where nothing is going right.

I can't fault his effort because it's true he's at least somewhat trying. Results aren't there if he's not scoring though.

He's a good playmaker ? Have you seen his assists numbers?

I do not think this is particularly correct with Slaf. For many goals, he was battling in front of the net, screening the goalie and got zero points even if he contributed heavily. But I agree that this season, he is not the game driver which is kind of understandable due to injuries and line changes.

He has at least 3-4 primary perfect passes to Caufield for his goals…

He’s not dominating the play like we know he can, that’s true. But he did contribute with great passes. Just need to find the confidence again.

If he's healthy and good to go it's about time he start shooting more and maybe he can up that paltry goal total.

Took a peek at his hockeydb page, his joyful expression rivals Dvorak.lol
