Nobody is claiming Hughes is going to be as good as Connor McDavid. Hughes' skating is said to be the only player since McDavid to be as good, but the rest of CM's game is better than Hughes. That said, you mentioned Button, and Button is another analyst who claims Hughes is the obvious #1 pick.
I was talking about Hughes's shot in isolation. Comparing to McDavid's shot.

Not sure where skating and the rest of the game came in.

24 looks better give Nieves whatever is out there. This is the franchise winger we’re talking about here lol

Number 54 man. It's the number he got when he started his pro-career, it signifies the 54-year drought that was ended in 1994 by players like Leetch, Graves and Messier whose numbers are what got us the 2nd overall pick in the lottery (2, 5, 9, 11) and most important: It's a Leyland number

Better quality that's not recorded on a potato.

I wonder what happened to the quality there, though. I record in 60 FPS full HD, and that's how my video clip is. Streamable kills the quality for some reason. This still is fine but my actual video clip is crystal clear.

I wonder if I need to reduce the bitrate a little when uploading to streamable... I should experiment a little.

Uhhh no thanks in drawing attn to the 54 year drought my friend

No no, your video was very clear (the streamed one), i was talking about the twitter video that was all blurry.

If you get a chance go back and watch these WJC games for Finland. You Tube has them. Kakko with that golden goal to win the championship wins player of the game in the final as a 17 year old. Just such a special kid I can’t believe we are going to get this kid. Gorton can’t mess this up right?

Every time a Rangers fan asks this question, a puppy is killed.

Come on, this is not a regular first round pick. Anything outside the top-5 is impossible to predict. 31 teams have 31 different lists at the previous spots we've picked (7th, 9th, 21st etc). This is the 2nd overall pick. There's no debate.

Listen until he puts that jersey on he’s not ours. We’ve never come close to this kind of guy in the draft. So I’ll continue to hold my breath till draft night is over lol

I am significantly more concerned about Kaapo continuing his substantial upward trajectory, surpassing Hughes, and the Devils taking Kakko than I am Gorton messing it up. (Not that Hughes would be a bad consolation prize). The draft cannot come soon enough.

When Chicago moved up into the top 3 and Daly flipped the Sabres card at #7, the Rangers moved into the top three. I just wanted the Rangers in the top 2. When Daly flipped the Hawks card at #3, I didn't care if the Rangers finished #1 or #2, they are going to get a top player.

There are two special players in the draft and the Rangers will get one of them.

I've said it before. Knowing each team would pick Hughes 1st overall, I wanted the 2nd overall pick more than the 1st overall.

That’s how I felt. When I saw Chicago at 3 I didn’t care if we got 1 or 2 both kids absolute studs

I’d been saying for weeks I’d take Kakko over Hughes. I just think he projects better as a dominant forward in this league.

Quinn is our coach

Damn. I feel dumb now.:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

That's what happens when I don't bother to do proper research.

But I still meant that your GM is in a great position. :handclap:

As someone above stated, there are two special players in this draft and the Rangers will get one of them (most likely Kakko).

And a great showing by Kakko again I see.

(btw, Hughes had six points today in the friendly against Switzerland. Nico Hischier hates this kid already. :sarcasm: )
