There are more ways to score goals than by just sheer power.

I personally am of the opinion that his shot is better than @Lays says it is, but at the same time it isn't an OV or Liane shot.

If he had a shot like that he would be a sure fire #1OA.
I dont think anyone is saying he has their shot currently , they are saying they are comparable to when Liane and AO were 17. I dont remember how they shot back then so i wont comment on whether i think its true or not, was just passing the info along.

But i am impressed with his shot, thats for sure.

Chytil played exclusively on the wing in the Czech Extraliga
I'm less knowledgable than almost all you guys on these young players, but I've always seen Chytil as a LW. More recently, I see Andersson as a LW too (Howden-Andersson on my future 3rd line could be incredible). A gap that I potentially see (assuming Kaako plays wing) is who slots into the 1/2 C spot for the future besides Zib.

I think people are just a bit confused how a guy who is almost unanimously ranked as being one of the best goal scorers in this draft by scouts can have posters saying his shot as one of the things he needs to improve on or is weak.

The downside of social media is that it's become easier than ever for people who don't know their ass from their elbow to inspire people down a path of confusion.

Gotta say I'm real glad Kakko is propably gonna end up with the Rangers. Was afraid another finnish prospect would be buried in Arizona or Florida etc.
Nope! I’m glad to get a Finnish superstar on the Rangers for once. Love guys like Aho and Barkov but they’ve been mired in shit. This guy’s gonna be on the biggest stage in the biggest moment’s. f***, he’s already got a stud young center who speaks Finnish to play with.

It is kind of weird to think the Rangers don't really have an extensive history with Finnish players.

I was just thinking the same thing.

We’ve had like, Tikkanen and Kurri (at the very end). Not much to speak of.

Whereas we’ve had plenty of great Swedes and Russians.

Well it is a small country with a population slighly above 50 % of the greater New York area. The fact Finland has been able to churn out quality NHL players for so many teams is defying the odds as it is.

Is anyone worried about Chytil's physicality? Personally I would give him a 4 or a 5. Every game I watch, he never finishes his checks. For some reason it always pisses me off. Is he Eurosoft?

He's actually gotten hurt on occasion taking fairly innocent checks and I think once trying to deliver one. Not too worried though, he just needs to fill out his upper body. Only 19, it will come over the next couple of years. Don't think he'll ever be much of a physical player but I'm hoping he becomes a player who's very hard to knock off the puck
