Yeah that looks better than mine but yeah thats about how I’ve been saying it, good, thanks

I work in Helsinki from time to time and have asked them several times how to pronounce certain names.

PS: Eliteprospects.com has a speaker-button next to player names to hear how it's pronounced if you don't have any Finnish contacts to ask like I do haha

I just like to mention it here since so many none Rangers like to compare him to Hughes or Andrei - it does not really matter since they are not on the same team, and if they meet eachother in NHL in regular season or playoffs - well it is more about the whole team strength and who have the good bounces in hockey.

- I know it`s popular to compare players, but it create unnecessary emotional discussions that is not positive.

My brief point is can`t we just accept there are many great players in NHL in all positions on the ice, and it`s the same in soccer and avoid the player comparison topics. I always regret I get involved in such topics, but it sometimes hard to resist talking about it and it ususally end up one person dont get in good mood, because he/she really like Andrei on Canes and that is normal. I always regret it.

Button saying that Kaapo is closer to Podkolzin than Hughes :laugh::laugh::laugh:

I must have missed Podkolzin logging meaningful minutes and production in a men’s league

Stay woke, Craigery

Maybe he meant playing style? Didn’t hear the interview.

He doesn’t have much in common style wise with Hughes.

Obviously he loves Podkolzin. I like Podkolzin and his motor but Kaapo is on a different level than Podkolzin sorry.

They're the same sounds, one is just twice as long. As far as Finnish names go it's pretty easy lol. The confusing part for me (before we won the lottery) was remembering which name was his first and which his last. :laugh:

@Amazing Kreiderman

Is his name pronounced “Copp-0 Cock-o” ? Please correct me if wrong lol

I speak Finnish: you put a stress on the first syllable in any word, and then stress any double letters.

Therefore: KAA-po KAK-KO.

(The A is pronounced like an American might pronounce the o in "hot" (not like "hat", which would be ä)).

The ironic thing about Finnish names seeming hard to pronounce, is that the language is written completely phonetically. There is no combination of letters to produce a different sound, and double letters give you the cadence. If you can speak Finnish, you can read it, and vice-versa -- and there are not many languages where that is true.
