Chili that wants to be here
Wouldn't you rather that position be fully-in person?
Well, in person scouting, remote to the office.

Ran into Forton when he was at Niagara, he wasn't too interested in chatting fwiwJerry Forton's background is pretty f***ing bad too.
Likely after the NFL Draft this weekend. So I would say Sunday/Monday ?Anyone know when Adams is meeting with Pegula?
That’s 100% why. But it makes sense, it’s one of the most important offseason events for the NFL team he owns. It doesn’t matter if they wait to makes changes with the Sabres. It doesn’t matter if they make those changes next week or even the week after. Assuming they even make any.Just speculation but feels like Terry hasnt made the front office moves because the NFL draft has undivided attention and he doesn’t want front office shake ups to distract him.
I don’t know why that would matter. You would just be changing the title of the person waiting to meet with Pegula. For that reason alone, there should be a POHO in place if the Bills take priority for the pegulas
A POHO can handle the GM and/or Coaching search while Terry focuses on the draft. That’s 100% why. But it makes sense, it’s one of the most important offseason events for the NFL team he owns. Lots of reason to hate Pegula but this is a nothing burger.

I think he’s gonna give Adams a higher tile, and will make Lindy and Karmanos co-GMs. Housely will replace Wilford.
Internal shake up
There will still be quality GM candidates, even if the Isles hire one before we do. Same applies to coaches and assistant coaches. We’re not going to struggle to find quality options to interview. Where Pegula struggles is actually hiring the right options. It’s pretty amazing how bad he’s been.A POHO can handle the GM and/or Coaching search while Terry focuses on the draft.
You might lose out on prime candidate because you didn’t make the switch fast enough. The islanders will have a head start on interviewing candidates for example.
This is assuming he actually is moving on from KA as a GM which obviously might not happen or already has a plan of succession in place
Is there actually talk of this?Housley back would be it for me. I'd be out.
Is there actually talk of this?I don’t think I would even get mad at that. Don’t care enough anymore to do so. But I might just stare into the void for an hour or two contemplating what we used to be.
Get them from Carolina where they already know how to operate under terrible ownershipPoach front office talent from Florida, Tampa, Colorado, Carolina. Most of them made a quick and sustained rise from bottom feeders to perennial contenders. Not only that, those teams are not afraid to make major roster changes to fit evolving needs.
No, probably nothing until monday/tuesdayAny rumors of change of the gm ?
For some reason I doubt you.Housley back would be it for me. I'd be out.
For some reason I doubt you.
I thought I was close during the season, but I'm still here ...for some reason.Nah, I'm close to quitting this shit show altogether.
Scouts are generally the entry level position to the front office, right? Makes sense then that you'd have a high number of first timers in the role. For the sake of fairness, did a very quick search of our scouts, compared to another team's in minnesota.
While our experience doesn't look great compared to expectations, Minnesota's staff also kind of point to the idea that scouts aren't always going to have superb resumes. I don't think the criticism is completely wrong, but I don't think the resume examination of our guys takes into account the realities of scouting around the league.

How does our front office look above the scout level? I'm guessing we have more internal promotions of guys who have only worked for the pegula sabres than other orgs have guys who have only worked in their own orgs.

Ok Terry. The draft is over![]()
