I was under the impression that Czechs didnt like when people still talked about both countries as 1......I was more or less bringing back the nostalgic aspect from 20 years ago

The Baldwin era was a really bad time.

Also they switched out to this logo just in time to bone up what looked like a sure threepeat. It's been years but still lots of bad memories. I also just think it's kinda bland and clearly think-tanked by executives compared to other teams' "weird" logos. Like say what you want about the Panthers, Yotes and Nucks ugly ass logos but at least they have some character.

I actually kind of like it, which is surprising since I hated the robo-penguin during it's actual use.

Regardless, I'm never buying another jersey as long as there are ads on the team's NHL ones. So, doesn't really matter to me I guess.

-edit- If I could change anything about the realistic penguin, I'd get rid of the two stripes on the right and just leave it solid yellow on one side and solid black on the other, I think. Other than that, I probably prefer it to the like, 1950s cartoon Penguin.

Yeah I get that people are nostalgic for it. I know it seems like I'm trying to be a shit in everyone's cut but I'm not. I just think it's no bueno. But whatever it's not like they are going back to it for good so it's cool that there seem to be a lot of people that enjoy it.

I know a lot of the real old timers hate it because it marked the end of the Lemieux Cups and a series of mid/late 90's teams that were full of skill yet lacked results.

However, I became a fan in 1994. The white robopenguin is where it all began for me. I love this. I just wish it was white.
