If the choice is play with my brothers or be loyal to someone who traded for me when I said I can't guarantee I'd sign, and Quinn picks the GM, well he doesn't value playing with his brothers enough.

Jack and Luke have injury histories. There is no guarantee they will even be the same in 4 years.

It's almost like demanding we call Edmonton for McDavid, that ain't happening either.

If I were the gm, I wouldn't run the risk of Larkin that got his C stripped giving half hearted efforts during the season. That would tank his trade value.

There's also the chance he destroys the locker room chemistry since everyone knows he doesn't want to be there.

That's not a real answer. Florida is going all in right now. They will age as their group of 30+ year olds locked in for the next 5 years ages.

They were already building from a presidents trophy winning core BEFORE they started making these all in moves. We are building from a playoff missing standpoint.

It's brutal, because he will likely tie his unrestricted free agency to Jack's. And the two of them will probably dictate where they go together, and it won't be New Jersey.

We will then be forced to trade Luke to that team when he inevitably requests a trade.

Whatever semblance of a window is current core has will probably slam shut in 3ish years.

What makes you say this? Have you been there? You guys are acting like NJ is some paradise lol. NYC is hella overrated as well. Like it's nice for us normal people because of the job opportunities but for someone who's going to be set in life, that's not a factor.

I have, been through most of the state, think most of it is a total hole and I certainly wouldn't live there over our area ever by choice.
