and i'd argue that it should be cause he has a higher upside and his development as a player (not just letting him play) is far more important to the future of the team than some others. i think its about reaching their potential more than simply who is better today.

An underrated aspect of drafting top 5. Even if you end up with an underwhelming player (Larsson) or total bust (Reinhart) some idiot will still trade you an elite player based on draft pedigree.
