I kind of appreciated skjei’s post-first period interview. He seems annoyed. DeAngelo seems pissed off. At least there’s some heart on display. Reasonable because the team is objective not very good. All the Rangers players are complementary. No studs. But I didn’t really expect them to be very good.

Plenty of heart on display from those brought in to provide it.

We've got McLeod telling Pacioretty his momma is fat and McQuaid almost leaning on somebody after the goal is already scored.

He was wide open. 1 on 1 with the goalie. Point blank. And he fanned on the shot. Granted, it wasn’t a breakaway or anything like that, and the puck may have been bouncing a tiny bit, but it just shows you his poor hand-eye coordination.

He was really just proped up but unreal secondary assist numbers... he didn’t make plays but picked up pts in the Stepan invisible style.

Proper structure, deployment, and defensive partners? AV literally stopped coaching last year, but he has like 1000 wins or something stupid for reasons more than he coached Luongo and Lundqvist..
