Disagree with the article stating it was DJ slipping that caused the first pick.

The end zone angle they showed made it pretty clear it was a bad throw from what I recall.

I think DJ slipped trying to come back because the ball was short and outside.

I’d have to see it again, but that’s what I remember.

I hate reading stuff like that. Like, Williams, stfu. No you weren’t. Stop trying to be funny/cute.

In other news, Claypool apparently still sucks lol.
He is a bona fide hall of famer on a team that is miles ahead of the Steelers. He can talk his **** and we have no choice but to sit here and take it.

What was really dumb was Pat Pete talking **** and then getting toasted. Rather embarrassing to then have to accept a sophomore Mr. Irrelevant clapping back at you, a very good player who really may just be washed. Don’t get me wrong though - Brock Purdy is a stud. I already figured he was better than Pickett, but didn’t think he was *this* good.

Everything is pointing to a loss imo lol….very good defense like 9ers with a great D line and a really good RB
Except 19-3 on Monday night football and Cleveland has won 6 games against Pittsburgh since 2010. Watson looked worse than KP theres a good chance we are 1-1 and in 1st place

Steelers have a crazy record at home on MNF.

Tomlin lead teams also love to put themselves in an early hole.

3 of the last 4 years Tomlin has started 1-3 or worse.

So they could still win M and keep Tomlin’s shitty trend of getting in a big hole early.

Feel better?

To be fair, he did have 2 pass breakups. One of which could have easily been an INT, but he didn’t hold onto it. First TD he slipped and second one he was right on dudes hip but didn’t play the ball for some reason.

I’m willing to give Pat a bit of a leash here this early. Not playing JPJ much at all is the bigger issue for me.

That game did not inspire confidence, but we are going to see what they are made of. If they can show resilience and beat the shit out of Cleveland, we can all step back from the ledge.

I'd love to hear more about how Sunday was ALL KP's fault

Madden occasionally gets some things right:

And this:

Dan Orlovsky
@danorlovsky7
The
@Steelers
have to stop running the same pass concept
Over
And
Over
And

Honest question, do they have a good defense? Great Week 1, against the Bungles no less, but they were in the lower half in both points and yards allowed last year. What's changed so much that they are now good?

Honestly less concerned about the Browns D at this moment and more worried about ours with Heyward out.

Watt is going to be run at a ton and Larry Og is going to get destroyed. They better play Benton a ton bc he's the only one with sand in his pants to withstand the Clev Oline

I have zero faith in Loudermilk or Leal either.

More from Orlovsky lol…only 8 times? He’s improving lol!

“Dan Orlovsky on what needs to change with Steelers: "His offensive coordinator. No, no joking. They ran the same play, pass play-wise eight times. So there's gotta be a more variety in their pass game. For Kenny, specifically, he's gonna have to see the field a little bit cleaner. I did not like the way he saw the field. Number two, when the throws are there, because there were some, he cannot miss them. He's gotta lean into and make those throws when the defense presents it to him."

Fire Canada
Kenny has to play with confidence

There are other, more detailed things to fix, but those two would go a long way IMO.

If something doesn’t change with the offense, I can’t shake the feeling KP’s development won’t matter very much.

Unless someone can explain how the Steelers always being out schemed will lead to playoff Ws.

Hard to make myself ignore that reality.

I was just jumping off my summary of Orlovsky’s comments, which jibes with two things I keep coming back to.

Obviously the first is key, but even the second on it’s own would make a difference.

yeah I think a few of us in the GDT pointed out that it's actually more the opposite; DJ fell because he was trying to adjust to a bad throw.

I'm sure KP will get his confidence back.

That will translate to more wins no doubt.

Ultimately though, I can't see how they win a playoff game when the coaching for lack of a better word - blows.

I saw the all-22 play yesterday and now I have no idea what happened.

That angle made it look like Djs fault.

Should have never been thrown anyway though. DJ isn't exactly a guy who wins battle ball consistently.

That's where my head is at with this - the longer they keep Canada and this offense around, we run the risk of it ruining any potential Kenny may have.

I also still stand by my stance that Kenny and DJ just aren't a good match. I know DJ is "the most open receiver in the NFL," but if a QB can't find chemistry with the guy, it doesn't matter how open he is. I need to see KP his DJ with some chunk plays, but I'm not hopeful.

I think it's fair to say this L was a team effort
