I said it before KP was drafted.

The NFL becomes too subject to fads and group think.

Not that there was not truth underlying those biases.

But it blinds them to what is really important.

Today's NFL favors athletic quarterbacks. It is one more thing for defenses to worry about. And a rocket for an arm to boot. Who wouldn't want that in their quarterback?

But reads and accuracy are what makes a great quarterback.

KP is athletic. Not Lamar Jackson athletic but above average. Has decent arm strength.

But his quick accurate reads are off the chart.
I wish it was, but I don't know how someone could consider Pickett's accuracy "off the charts."

Happy with the offense so far…the secondary still looks shaky to me…if it wasn’t for the penalties, Allen could pass all day against our CBs…neither Peterson nor JPJ look like they should start the opener lol, but we’re one injury away from Pierre being out there…I don’t know if there’s a solution

Also McFarland is fast but can’t run and Najee is slow and can’t run lol…our best runner is Warren…better hope he’s durable this season

Oh man, when does the Kenny Pickett statue go up?!

Btw for you PITT fans here, that Warren TD was Dane Jackson’s fault. That dude is the worst CB in the league. And nice story with Hamlin and all, but he should be cut too. They have 3 safeties miles ahead of him. Sorry, just saying.

Guess Porter can make interceptions. Although, well, easy one.

Awful pass but I think Porter Jr will be alright. His playmaking has been a pleasant surprise.

I don't think I've ever seen so many flags thrown in a football game but I'm not sure Buffalo fans could argue with all that many of them.

Also, Trubisky, eh.

Been watching a lot of the Steelers YT channel the past few days and this team has so many damn likeable players. Obviously its been well established that guys like Heyward, Najee and Pickett are all high character dudes. But even the new guys like JPJ and Broderick Jones seem really down to earth and good natured. Even Pickens, who some have expressed concerns about, seems to just be kind of eccentric and a big goof who likes to have fun w/ his teammates. Definitely don't get AB vibes from him. Sure is refreshing cheering for this team after supporting the likes of Ben, AB and Bell over the past decade+

Between the Barkley interception on every drive and the god awful Bills penalties, it’s really hard to get a read on how good the Steelers are by watching this game lol

Seriously, Herbig is impressive. Small or not, the guy is an issue for lineman.
All-Pro Center Mike Webster was called too small to suceed coming out of college.

When asked about it years later he said that he looked a lot taller when the guy was looking up at him after he put him on his ass.

Herbig looks a lot bigger when he blows past the lineman.
