Of those 17 carries, has he looked like a starting RB? I haven't seen any difference between him and Warren, and I'd actually give the edge to Warren at this point.

Warren has 9 carries for 26 yards lol. Better in what sense?

See? This is the stuff that puzzles me. Warren would get bodied as a feature back with how bad the line is and the fact that teams plainly know when the Steelers are running. Both guys are experiencing first contact way too soon. It is backed up by both the eye test and stats.

Sure, Warren had a better YPC last year, but let's see him do it when he isn't a 3rd down back largely running draws on 3rd and long against a 5 man box and such.

I get the idea of swapping in Warren and the run game suddenly not sucking is fun to think about but it is also totally delusional.

When people see Warren run, they see a guy who hits the line hard and punches above his weight. Last year, he averaged over a yard more per attempt than Najee. We can talk about sample size, but I believe it's simply a matter of the stats not yet showing what's being seen by the eye.

My first thought is the OC wasnt working directly with the starting qb before this??

Hes been here for 3 years. I'm pretty sure Rooney Tunes and the PR dept really think this city and fan base is stupid.

Man, watching good offenses last week and then Miami's offense this week.... Our coaching staff is so far behind on sets, route combinations, etc. Miami's O consistently has a route that is beating zone, man, etc. and a Tua has a 2-3 yard open window on his receiver/completion.

Tomlin's offense sucks.

I also like the Bucs living here in Florida and its amazing when you have a young and new coordinator like Danny Canalas with fresh ideas working with a new QB (Baker) and how it can be revitalizing.

Plus Todd Bowles is 10x a better coach than Tomlin.

Sam Howell with 4 picks so far today, Jordan Love struggling, Trevor Lawrence still having inconsistency issues in year 3....

Meanwhile, Jared Goff and Geno Smith have developed into top 15 QBs after several years of struggling. While Baker Mayfield looks revitalized under new and better coaches.

My point is, Kenny may or may not be the guy, but developing a good starting QB often requires patience and good coaching(which we clearly dont have). KP needs to be better for sure, but I am not giving up on him yet.

Would be cool if Indy could do us a favor.

In what regard?

They are not finishing ahead of the Ravens. You could make an argument maybe the Bungles if Burrow's calf continues to give him issues. The Browns look like themselves today.

Most Steeler fans were spoiled by Roth’s development under Cowher and a great team.

The first several games last season they already gave up on KP, then reversed course, now have given up on him again.

I’m sure he will turn it around at some point this season, as they play mediocre Ds and such.

The elephant in the room will remain Canada is a shitty OC and as soon as they see another top flight D, we know what’s going to happen.

Add in an entire generation in the Burgh that doesn't understand that the football world doesn't or shouldn't revolve around with 1 coach. That doesn't understand change is good.

This is what is flawed about the Rooney way.

Maybe I’m wrong, but the season will turn around and they will get 9-10 wins, KP will get back on track, running game will get better, etc etc

However, it will keep masking the coaching issues and giving Rooney an excuse to keep buying into the same BS.

Canada trying to help KP now is like asking a guy who flunked out of school to help you on a math test.

Every week he gets schooled by DCs, how is he going to help KP when he’s had zero success in the NFL?

The analogy you're looking for is hampster on a wheel thinking it'll get somewhere but it never does.

This happens i dont think they extend canada. I think he is pretty much done unless the team finishes top ten on offense.
