I know a lot of Pitt fans and just want to mention it given this is a Pittsburgh thread, and they are the main university in the city. Pretty insufferable fanbase from my experience, so they deserve this year and all the PSU and WVU fans dunking on them.

If Franklin is Tomlin, what does that make Narduzzi? At least Franklin hires good coordinators.
 
Also wow, I just peaked at WVU’s schedule and I think they could very easily go 10-2 this year. Love to see that program do well and be back again, for any of my Morgantown brothers on here.
 
You can’t compare PSU football to Pitt in recent years. Franklin gets paid how many x’s more a year? It’s a stupid amount of money. And that program rakes in money hand over foot on top of being in a superior conference that attracts better recruits.

I’ve been in the state college area since the early 10’s and have dealt with my fair share of PSU fans to know a ton of them suck, haha.

I can only speak for Myself.

But I get upset much more when I have expectations regarding the team that I root for.

So, tomorrow although I will be at the game my expectations are fairly low. If the Steelers exceed them and win, wonderful. If not, maybe it will be enough to finally rid ourselves if Canada. Although I doubt it.



Either way, I barely care about tge outcome tomorrow.

I don't think PSU can beat both Michigan and Ohio State this year, though. They'll do well to beat 1 IMO.

They will beat Ohio state this Ohio state isn’t that great and will be Michigan 1st actual test this season

Every time you think Miami is back to being respectable they do something like dropping a game to Georgia Tech in embarassing fashion.

Does Georgia Tech still run triple option? Lol.
 
I have no reason to believe todays game will be close. But it’s Baltimore. So I expect it will be anyways. I predict an incredible performance from the defense. Despite being on the field for 35+ mins. And we lose to a tucker fg. 20-17.

If Balt is a contender they will kill us…if they’re second tier, the game will be close but we’ll still lose lol
 
Starting Pickett today is a huge mistake. Calf strain in addition to bone bruise? Risk of further injury, bye next week, plus not much of a difference if they just started Trubisky instead. There’s no way he plays well and it’s just going to be further fuel towards him not being the guy (which is probably the case anyway).

It is downright hilarious that a Penn State fan who literally solely shits on Pitt in this thread is calling Pitt fans "a pretty insufferable fanbase".

I really don't understand how the Steelers running game is so ineffective. Like you'd assume that they can break a long run purely on accident, but the best case scenario is like a 4-5 yard run.

This offense is not going to be able to do anything as long as they can't establish any sort of running game. I don't know if it's Harris, the OL blocking or Canada's playcalling, but it's flat out pathetic how ineffective it has been.

I’ll hold on that as we’re in Steelers mode now.

So I don’t just hate on Pickett - boy, these defensive backs sure do allow a lot of cushion with the opposing receivers. This D is pretty weak outside of Watt/Highsmith and Minkah.
 
Lol…there’s no aspect of the Steelers that’s not below the line…
 
It is amazing how a run game can work when you don't telegraph your play because you almost exclusively run when your qb is under center.
