If you’re going off of draft pick value, I think their situation is that pick 17 and 49 can get you to 9 and 17 and 32 can get you to 7. I think they should just do 17 and 49 for 9 and take the best OT remaining.

I think you can ensure you get Paris Johnson by trading up to 7, I just question if it’s worth going up to 7 to guarantee that. You still have a chance of being able to get him or one of the other top LTs at 9 as well.

according to one media publications like Steelers Depot, the deal to trade to 9 with the Bears would cost the Steelers #17 AND #32 and they get the Bears 2024 7th rounder in return…see, I’m not doing that…if the Steelers give up both their 17 and 32 picks to move up 8 spots, I have no hope for the new regime, and I’ll be pissed too lol

Thats silly because it depends.

If tge guy the trade up to get is the next star its worth it. You telling me you would trade 17 and 32 for sauce gardner right now?

I mean the odds of gettin good player there are fine but it unlikely we get a star with either.

I guess I’m starting to be in the minority, but I still don’t have a problem taking Porter at 17 if others are off the board.
I would be more comfortable in the 20-26 range like William Jackson the 3rd was

Yeah because they aren’t a sauce garden away from winning a championship. They are a playoff team right now

I mean hindsight is always 20-20…at this point the scouts pretty much say there is only one elite player in the draft and that’s Anderson…I’m sure if you asked the Steelers on draft day if it was worth trading up 10 spots to get Bush, they’d probably tell you he was going to be the next LB superstar too…

Im not sure if your agreeing with me or not, my original had a typo and your answer is confusing.

So there's really two things at play here. First off, you're right. I think guys like Chase and Diggs can shake Porter. However, if Porter starts manning them, I think he's so big and strong, that their timing is going to be f***ed. Porters arms are so long and he's so strong, that's how he's going to make his living in the NFL. If we don't plan on letting him play man...we really shouldn't draft him.

I think that draft guide is top notch. What I don't realize is why he needs to tell us where the kid was in the real of kids? I give him kudos for knowing all this personal info but for me it was a bit much. "He was the middle child of 7 kids." Why do I give a f***? Can he play football?

Ya he’s just not scheme flexible which is troublesome.

If they draft him I have to believe they would just have to scheme for him to press as much as possible.

Maybe it would work out well in the end, who knows.

Trying to remember but I thought the rumored deal involved Bears third rounder, which would be pick one of third.

If they move up and have to use 17 and 49 to do so, they can then leverage 32 and pick up a couple picks. Unless they have what they deem as a Surefire can't miss at 32 that they absolutely love, I think that might be the route they choose to go. They have to give up two draft picks, but then they can gain an extra pick by moving 32. And make no mistake they will be Fielding a lot of offers if they don't trade 32 to move up to say six or seven.

At this point not even Anderson is considered safely elite. They're questioning his ceiling, athleticism and tape. Questioning whether Tyree Wilson would go ahead of him

Bijan Robinson is the one guy with zero questions for being elite for his position but he's a RB.

Assuming this would be for Stroud, I don’t think this changes a whole hell of a lot for the Steelers. It just switches the Titans probably taking a tackle to the Cardinals maybe taking a tackle.

I do think that Houston needs to take a quarterback at number two. I'm a little concerned the cards might take Johnson with number three overall. But if somehow the Steelers go for a corner and they can move up to get Gonzales I'd be fine with that absolutely fine!

Interesting one as someone could still get ahead of them. Last minute deal in the making?

Also, going from the chat of the Cardinals being willing to take Paris Johnson at 3, I think we can say he's not getting past 11 without something special. So probably not for the best for us. Ho hum.

We are going to get a good football player. I'm unconcerned.

I did see something that said "THe Steelers will not let Nolan Smith slide past 17." The only issue I have with that is I doubt they would be drafting Nolan Smith as a OLB, and would try him at MLB and hope his athleticism would take over. The issue with that is he's going to need 2 years to really learn how to play MLB. That's about how long it took Shazier and Timmons both to go from 4-3 to 3-4 MLBs.

If he ended up as good as Shazier or Timmons, that's worth it.

No i am against trading up. We are not one player away from a championship. They need tons of depth.
We can be a playoff team next year but now matter what happens in the draft until KP makes a hugh leap they aren’t a Super Bowl threat.
A top flight CB doesn’t guarantee anything

Stroud to the Texans. Dunno if that helps us or not. Shame tho, I'd have enjoyed the chaos of him dangling.

Stroud has the arm talent, but I really don't think he's going to buck the trend of OSU QB's flopping in the NFL.

Texans with HUGE balls. Good for them!

Houston trading back up. I don't think that's good for the Steelers. Arizona is another team that could use a tackle

Wow Daniel Jeremiah had this projected in his mock draft.
